Claims (9)
- 表示パネルと、
前記表示パネル上に配置され、前記表示パネルを保護するウィンドウと、
前記ウィンドウ上に形成される活性表面層と、
前記活性表面層上に形成され、表面が曲面であるハードコーティング層とを含む表示装置であって、
前記表示装置の中心における前記ハードコーティング層の厚さが前記表示装置の端部における前記ハードコーティング層の厚さより厚く、
前記ハードコーティング層は前記表示装置の中心で最も高い厚さを有し、前記表示装置の端部に行くほど前記ハードコーティング層の厚さが次第に薄くなっており、これにより、前記ハードコーティング層の表面の全体が滑らかに湾曲して突出する曲面をなす、表示装置。 - 前記活性表面層は親水性を有し、
前記ハードコーティング層は、前記ウィンドウの表面エネルギーより高い表面エネルギーを有する材質から形成される、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記活性表面層は疎水性を有し、
前記ハードコーティング層は、前記ウィンドウの表面エネルギーより低い表面エネルギーを有する材質から形成される、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - ウィンドウ領域および前記ウィンドウ領域の周囲に形成されるダミー領域を含むウィンドウ母基板を準備する段階と、
前記ウィンドウ領域に対応する領域が開放された第1マスクを前記ウィンドウ母基板上に配置し、前記ウィンドウ領域に対応する前記ウィンドウ母基板の表面を処理して活性表面層を形成する段階と、
前記第1マスクを除去する段階と、
ハードコーティング層形成物質を前記活性表面層上に塗布する段階と、
前記ハードコーティング層形成物質を硬化させて、曲面の表面を有するハードコーティング層を形成する段階と、
前記ウィンドウ母基板から前記ダミー領域と前記ウィンドウ領域を切断してウィンドウを形成する段階とを含む、表示装置の製造方法であって、
前記の曲面の表面を有するハードコーティング層は、厚さが、前記表示装置の中心にて、前記表示装置の端部におけるよりも大きく、
前記ハードコーティング層は前記表示装置の中心で最も高い厚さを有し、前記表示装置の端部に行くほど前記ハードコーティング層の厚さが次第に薄くなっており、これにより、前記ハードコーティング層の表面の全体が滑らかに湾曲して突出する曲面をなす表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ダミー領域に対応する領域が開放された第2マスクを前記ウィンドウ母基板上に配置し、前記ダミー領域に対応する前記ウィンドウ母基板の表面を処理して非活性表面層を形成する段階と、
前記第2マスクを除去する段階とをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記活性表面層は親水性および疎水性のうちのいずれか一つの性質を有するように表面処理され、
前記非活性表面層は親水性および疎水性のうちの前記活性表面層とは異なる性質を有するように表面処理される、請求項5に記載の表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記活性表面層の表面は親水性を有し、前記ハードコーティング層形成物質は前記ウィンドウ母基板の表面エネルギーより高い表面エネルギーを有する材質から形成される、請求項6に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
- 前記活性表面層の表面は疎水性を有し、前記ハードコーティング層形成物質は前記ウィンドウ母基板の表面エネルギーより低い表面エネルギーを有する材質から形成される、請求項6に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
- 前記ウィンドウを表示パネル上に結合させる段階をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
