前記形成した遮光膜コーティング層に対して、ODをX−rite社のOD測定器を用いて測定して、下記に示した。
前記導波管平面上に同じ厚さに製造された遮光膜をクロスカット試験基準であるASTM D3359の規格に準拠して、クロスカットテストを行った。具体的に、試片を1mmの間隔で横及び縦方向にそれぞれ11列ずつ刀で切りつけて横と縦とがそれぞれ1mmである100個の正方形格子を形成した。その後、Nichiban社のCT−24接着テープを前記裁断面に付着した後、取り外す時に、共に剥がされる面の状態を測定して、下記の基準に評価して、下記表3に示した。
5B:剥がされた面がない場合
4B:剥がされた面が総面積に比べて、5%以内である場合
3B:剥がされた面が総面積に比べて、5〜15%である場合
2B:剥がされた面が総面積に比べて、15〜35%である場合
1B:剥がされた面が総面積に比べて、35〜65%である場合
0B:ほとんどが剥がされる場合

前記導波管平面上に同じ厚さに製造された遮光膜に対して、下記の条件によってマイクロスクラッチテストした。チップ先端の直径が200μmであるRockwellダイヤモンドチップで0から10Nまで荷重を増加させながら、5000mN/sの速度でコーティング層の表面を掻いた時、基材の表面が現われる地点での荷重を測定し、それをadhesion critical loadで判定した。その結果を下記表6に示した。

- 着色剤、アクリレートモノマー、ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー、有機シラン及び光重合開始剤を含み、
前記着色剤の含量は、導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物の総重量に対して0.1〜15重量%であり、
前記アクリレートモノマーは、単官能性アクリレートモノマー、2官能性アクリレートモノマー、及び多官能性アクリレートモノマーを含み、
前記導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物の総重量に対して、前記単官能性アクリレートモノマーの含量は、5〜40重量%であり、前記2官能性アクリレートモノマーと前記多官能性アクリレートモノマーとの含量は、10〜70重量%であり、
前記ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーの含量は、前記導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物の総重量に対して0.5〜30重量%であり、
前記アクリレートモノマー対前記ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーの重量比は、2:1〜6:1であり、
硬化後のガラス基材に対する付着力が、ASTM D3359規格で5B以上であり、マイクロスクラッチテスト(MST)で1500mN以上である導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物。 - 前記導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物は、光増減剤及び界面活性剤からなる群から選択される1つ以上をさらに含む請求項1に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物。
- 前記アクリレートモノマーは、テトラヒドロフルフリルアクリレート、サイクリックトリメチロールプロパンホルマールアクリレート、ビスフェノールAエポキシジアクリレート、ヒドロキシピバリン酸ネオペンチルグリコールジアクリレート、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート、トリス(2−ヒドロキシエチル)イソシアヌレートトリアクリレート、ペンタエリスリトールテトラアクリレート、2−ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート,及びジペンタエリスリトールヘキサアクリレートからなる群から選択される1つ以上を含む請求項1または2に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物。
- 前記導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物は、250〜450nmの波長範囲の紫外線を吸収して硬化される請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物。
- 前記導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物は、360〜410nmの波長範囲の紫外線を吸収して硬化される請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物。
- 平板導波管のフレーム側切断面に請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物を硬化した遮光膜が形成された導波管であって、
前記遮光膜の全体光学密度(OD)は、1.5以上であり、前記遮光膜の導波管に対する付着力が、ASTM D3359規格で5B以上であり、マイクロスクラッチテスト(MST)で1500mN以上である導波管。 - 前記遮光膜は、カーボンブラック、黒鉛、金属酸化物、及び有機ブラック顔料からなる群から選択される1つ以上のブラックインク顔料を含む請求項6に記載の導波管。
- 前記ブラックインク顔料の含量は、前記遮光膜の総重量に対して0.1〜15重量%である請求項7に記載の導波管。
- 請求項6から8のいずれか一項に記載の導波管を含む導波管モジュール。
- a)請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の導波管エッジ遮光用紫外線硬化型組成物を使用して、平板導波管のフレーム側に遮光膜コーティング層を形成する段階と、
b)前記遮光膜コーティング層を硬化して、1.5以上の光学密度(OD)を有する遮光膜を形成する段階と、
を含む導波管の製造方法。 - 前記a)段階で平板導波管のフレーム側切断面に遮光膜コーティング層を形成する方法は、ディスペンサ工程またはインクジェット印刷を利用する請求項10に記載の導波管の製造方法。
- 前記b)段階の硬化は、紫外線硬化である請求項10または11に記載の導波管の製造方法。
- 前記遮光膜の導波管に対する付着力が、ASTM D3359規格で5B以上であり、マイクロスクラッチテスト(MST)で1500mN以上である請求項10から12のいずれか一項に記載の導波管の製造方法。
