- 複数のピクセル行を備えるディスプレイパネルと、
モード信号に応答して、ノーマルモードでは前記複数のピクセル行に第1ディスプレイデータを提供することで前記ディスプレイパネルの第1の輝度を取得し、ディーミングモードでは前記複数のピクセル行にブラックデータが含まれる第2ディスプレイデータを提供することで前記第1の輝度よりも低いレベルを有する前記ディスプレイパネルの第2の輝度を取得する駆動回路と、
前記ディスプレイパネルに高電源電圧及び低電源電圧を提供し、前記モード信号を提供するパワーサプライと、
モード信号に応答して、入力イメージデータを第1ディスプレイデータ又は第2ディスプレイデータに変換するデータコンバータと、を備え、
前記データコンバータは、
前記ノーマルモードでは前記入力イメージデータを前記第1ディスプレイデータに変換して前記第1ディスプレイデータをデータドライバに提供する第1プロセシングロジックと、
前記ディーミングモードでは前記入力イメージデータを前記第2ディスプレイデータに変換して前記第2ディスプレイデータをデータドライバに提供して前記ディスプレイパネルのサブピクセルのうちの一部が発光しないようにする第2プロセシングロジックと、を含むことを特徴とする、有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記複数のピクセル行は、
互いに交互に配置される複数の奇数番目ピクセル行と複数の偶数番目ピクセル行を含み、前記複数の奇数番目ピクセル行の各々は交互に配置される第1ピクセルと第2ピクセルを含み、前記複数の偶数番目ピクセル行は交互に配置される第3ピクセルと第4ピクセルを含み、
前記第1ピクセルは、第1色光を表示する第1サブピクセル及び第2色光を表示する第2サブピクセルを含み、
前記第2ピクセルは、第3色光を表示する第3サブピクセル及び前記第2色光を表示する前記第2サブピクセルを含み、
前記第3ピクセルは、前記第3サブピクセル及び前記第2サブピクセルを含み、
前記第4ピクセルは、前記第1サブピクセル及び前記第2サブピクセルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで前記第2ピクセルと前記第4ピクセルの前記第2サブピクセルにブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで、第k(kは、自然数)フレーム区間の間に前記第2ピクセルと前記第4ピクセルの前記第2サブピクセルにブラックデータを提供し、第k+1フレーム区間の間に前記第1ピクセルと前記第3ピクセルの前記第2サブピクセルに前記ブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで、第k(kは、自然数)フレーム区間の間に前記第2ピクセルと前記第3ピクセルの前記第2サブピクセルにブラックデータを提供し、第k+1フレーム区間の間に前記第1ピクセルと前記第4ピクセルの前記第2サブピクセルに前記ブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで、第k(kは、自然数)フレーム区間の間に前記偶数番目ピクセル行のピクセルにブラックデータを提供し、第k+1フレーム区間の間に前記奇数番目ピクセル行のピクセルにブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで、第k(kは、自然数)フレーム区間の間に前記第2ピクセルと前記第4ピクセルにブラックデータを提供し、第k+1フレーム区間の間に前記第1ピクセルと前記第3ピクセルにブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1色光は赤色光で、前記第2色光は緑色光で、前記第3色光は青色光であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記複数のピクセル行は、
互いに交互に配置される複数の奇数番目ピクセル行と複数の偶数番目ピクセル行を含み、前記複数の奇数番目ピクセル行の各々は交互に配置される第1ピクセルと第2ピクセルを含み、前記複数の偶数番目ピクセル行は交互に配置される第3ピクセルと第4ピクセルを含み、
前記第1から第4ピクセルの各々は、第1色光を表示する第1サブピクセル、第2色光を表示する第2サブピクセル、及び第3色光を表示する第3サブピクセルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記駆動回路は、前記ディーミングモードで、第k(kは、自然数)フレーム区間の間に前記第1ピクセルと前記第3ピクセルの同一なサブピクセルに前記ブラックデータを提供し、第k+1フレーム区間の間に前記第2ピクセルと前記第4ピクセルの同一なサブピクセルに前記ブラックデータを提供することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の有機発光ディスプレイ装置。
