6NO2+8NH3→7N2+12H2O
ハニカムの壁厚を厚くし、セル数を増やすことでモノリス型のハニカムも強度を増すことができるが、開口面積が小さくなってしまい、大きな圧力損失が生じてしまうため、結局適用できないという問題があった。
長手方向に沿って、一方の端面から他方の端面に延設された複数のセルがセル壁によって区画された形状のメタルハニカムユニットにSCR触媒が担持された船舶用エンジンの排ガスに用いるハニカム触媒構造体であって、
前記メタルハニカムユニットの材質は、Feを主成分として、Crが15〜20wt%、Alが2〜5wt%含む合金製であり、
前記メタルハニカムユニットに担持されるSCR触媒が、TiO2単独からなるか、あるいはTiO2を主成分として、V2O5、WO3、MoO3、SiO2、Al2O3のいずれか1種又は2種以上が混合されたものであり、
前記セルのセル密度が、100〜500cpsiであることを特徴とする船舶用エンジンの排ガスに用いるハニカム触媒構造体。
(請求項2)
前記セルを通過する排ガスの流速と、圧力損失との関係で示される直線の傾きが、30以上180以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のハニカム触媒構造体。
(請求項3)
長手方向に沿って、一方の端面から他方の端面に延設された複数のセルがセル壁によって区画された形状のメタルハニカムユニットにSCR触媒が担持されたハニカム触媒構造体を備えたSCR装置であり、
前記ハニカム触媒構造体は、請求項1又は2記載のハニカム触媒構造体であり、
船舶用エンジンと一体となっていることを特徴とするSCR装置。
図1は、本発明に係るSCR装置を含むディーゼルエンジンの一例を示す概略フロー図である。
2は、ディーゼルエンジン本体1から送られる排ガスを受け入れて貯留するレシーバタンクであり、例えばディーゼルエンジン本体1から送られる排ガス量が変動した場合に、その変動を吸収するバッファタンクの役割などを果たす。レシーバタンク2は、排ガス用の配管2を兼ねている。
加水分解部には、加水分解触媒が付与されていることが好ましい。加水分解触媒により、尿素の加水分解を促進し、後述するSCR触媒へ尿素が送られる量を低減させることができ、SCRハニカム触媒において尿素由来の固形物が生成されるのを低減することができる。
図2において、図1と同符号の部位は、図1と同一であるためその説明を援用し省略する。
図3において、10はメタルハニカムユニットであり、メタルハニカムユニット10は、断面三角形状の金属製波板11と、金属製平板12によって構成される。
金属製波板11と金属製平板12とを、ロウ付けして張り合わせて、ハニカム基材(図示せず)を作成する。そのハニカム基材を渦巻き状に巻いて、メタルハニカムユニット10を構成する。
図4には、排ガス用の配管2に設けられるメタルハニカムユニット10が渦巻状に捲かれた状態が示されている。
断面三角形状の複数のセル13は、長手方向(図5において、左右方向)に沿って、一端から他端まで延設され貫通しており、排ガスがそのセルを通過し、通過過程で触媒に接触できるような構造になっている。
SCR触媒は、TiO2を主成分とする。TiO2の含有量は、50vol%以上であることが好ましい。SCR触媒として機能性に優れるからである。
SCR触媒は、TiO2以外に、V2O5、WO3、MoO3、SiO2、Al2O3のいずれか1種又は2種以上が混合されたものであることが好ましい。
図1に示すSCR装置を用いた。また図3、4、5に示すメタルハニカムユニット10を構成する担体にSCR触媒が担持されたハニカム触媒構造体を用いた。
複数のセルの各々の断面形状が二等辺三角形である。
ハニカム触媒構造体A:セル密度80cpsi
ハニカム触媒構造体B:セル密度130cpsi
ハニカム触媒構造体C:セル密度300cpsi
ハニカム触媒構造体D:セル密度400cpsi
セル密度が500cpsiとなるように、以下の4つのハニカム触媒構造体を準備し、脱硝試験を行った。
ハニカム触媒構造体F:セル密度100cpsi
ハニカム触媒構造体G:セル密度200cpsi
ハニカム触媒構造体H:セル密度400cpsi
線速度LVは、各セル内を流れる排ガスの流速/セル断面積で測定されるガス流速(m/sec)である。

- 長手方向に沿って、一方の端面から他方の端面に延設された複数のセルがセル壁によって区画された形状のメタルハニカムユニットにSCR触媒が担持された船舶用エンジンの排ガスに用いるハニカム触媒構造体であって、
前記メタルハニカムユニットの材質は、Feを主成分として、Crが15〜20wt%、Alが2〜5wt%含む合金製であり、
前記メタルハニカムユニットに担持されるSCR触媒が、TiO2単独からなるか、あるいはTiO2を主成分として、V2O5、WO3、MoO3、SiO2、Al2O3のいずれか1種又は2種以上が混合されたものであり、
