前記エンジンは、上部カバー(48)で覆われた複数のシリンダ(1)を備え、前記シリンダ(1)はその下部に掃気ポート(19)を有し、前記上部カバーには中央部に排気弁と、2つまたは3つの前記燃料弁(50)とが搭載され、前記燃料弁(50)は、そのノズル(54)から低引火点液体燃料を、前記シリンダのピストンの上方で、前記燃焼室に噴射するようにされる、エンジン。 - 前記燃料入口ポート(53)に通じる導管(62)は2重壁の配管を備え、前記低引火点燃料は内側の管腔内を輸送され、外側の管腔が通気され揮発性炭化水素の検出のためのセンサ(63)に接続される、請求項13に記載のエンジン。
