Claims (16)
- −光ファイバーケーブルと一体化した第1の端と;
−外部インターフェースを含む第2の端であって、前記外部インターフェースが、光搬送ポート、機械的接続要素、及び電気的インターフェースを含み、前記外部インターフェースが、アダプターによって着脱可能に受け入れられるように構成された、第2の端と;
−接合点で位置合わせされ且つ一緒に結合されて、前記光搬送ポートと前記光ファイバーケーブルとの間で光を伝搬するための連続した長さの光ファイバーを形成する、第1の長さの光ファイバー及び第2の長さの光ファイバーを含むメイン光導管と;
−光コネクタを通って進む光を検出し且つ前記電気的インターフェースを介して前記検出された光を示す信号を提供するための、前記光搬送ポートと前記接合点との間で前記光ファイバーに接続された、光検出器と;
を含む光コネクタであって、
光の一部をタップするために前記光ファイバーに結合された光タップをさらに含み、前記光検出器が、タップ部分を検出するために前記光タップに結合され、
前記第1の長さの光ファイバーと前記第2の長さの光ファイバーとは、前記接合点で位置合わせされ且つ溶融されている、光コネクタ。 - 前記光ファイバーが、コア及び前記コアを囲むクラッディングを含み、前記光タップが、光をタップするために、変化した屈折率を有する前記クラッディングの一部を含む、請求項1に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記光タップが、光をタップするように構成された、前記光ファイバーにおけるブラッグ格子を含む、請求項1に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記光検出器のアウトプットを示す信号を伝達するように構成された外部インターフェースをさらに含む、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記信号が、電気信号であり、前記外部インターフェースが、電極を含み、
前記電極が、前記コネクタの周縁に配される、請求項4に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記信号が、光信号であり、前記外部インターフェースが、発光装置を含み、
前記発光装置が、発光ダイオードである、請求項4に記載の光コネクタ。 - アウトプット信号を生成するために前記光検出器のアウトプットを処理するように構成された回路をさらに含む、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記アウトプット信号を伝達するように構成された外部インターフェースをさらに含む、請求項7に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記コネクタの外部からアクセス可能であり且つ前記光検出器に接続された電極をさらに含む、請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記電極が、前記光検出器のために外部ソースから電力を受け取るように構成された、請求項9に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記光検出器が、使用時に前記コネクタによって為された光接続からタップされた光から電力を引き出すように構成された、請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記コネクタが、2つの反対側の端、及び前記端の内の1つで標準インターフェースを有し、
前記標準インターフェースが、FC、SC、ST、LC、MU、DIN、MTRJ、D4及びMPOから成る群から選択される、請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記標準インターフェースが第1の標準インターフェースであり、前記コネクタの他の端で第2のインターフェースをさらに含み、前記第2のインターフェースが、第2の標準インターフェースを有する第2の光コネクタを着脱可能に受け入れるように構成された、請求項12に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記光ファイバーケーブルから前記第2の端へ向かって伝わる光をタップするように構成された指向性光カプラーを含む、又は、
指向性光カプラーが、前記第2の端で前記コネクタに入る光をタップするように構成された、請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記光ファイバーケーブルが、平行に配された複数の光ファイバーを含み、前記光検出器が第1の光検出器であり、前記コネクタが、前記第1の光検出器を含む複数の内蔵光検出器を含み、前記コネクタが、各光ファイバーを伝わる光をタップし且つ前記複数の光検出器の内の個別の1つへ、タップされた光を結合するように構成された、請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記光検出器の応答性及び光タップのタップ比率は、前記光検出器のアウトプットが、前記光コネクタを通って伝わる光の電力の、校正された表示を含むようになっている、請求項3に記載の光コネクタ。
