上記式において、Wは樹脂水溶液に含浸し、その後に乾燥させた植物系材料の重量 であり、W0 は樹脂水溶液に含浸する前の植物系材料の重量である。
各植物成形体(木質成形体)における、波長が370〜2500nmの光線に対する光線透過率を、分光光度計(株式会社日立ハイテクサイエンス製、商品名:U-4100)を用いて測定した。その結果を、図2においてグラフとして示す。

Claims (4)
- メラミン樹脂前駆体及び/又はフェノール樹脂からなる樹脂成分aと、ポリエチレングリコールからなる樹脂成分bとを含む樹脂水溶液を、植物系材料に含浸させることにより、前記植物系材料を構成する繊維細胞間の水素結合を切断する処理工程と、
前記繊維細胞間の水素結合を切断した前記植物系材料を、成形キャビティ内に収容した後に加熱及び加圧し、前記植物系材料の前記繊維細胞間に剪断力を作用させて、前記繊維細胞同士の相互位置を変化させることにより前記植物系材料を流動させ、前記成形キャビティ内に充填すると共に、前記成形キャビティ内に充填された前記植物系材料を圧縮して賦形する、流動成形工程と、を備え、
前記樹脂水溶液が、前記樹脂成分a及び前記樹脂成分bを、重量比において[樹脂成分a]:[樹脂成分b]=1:0.05〜0.15の割合において含有するものであることを特徴とする植物系成形体の製造方法。 - 前記樹脂水溶液を含浸させた前記植物系材料を乾燥し、前記樹脂水溶液に含浸する前と比較して重量が60〜95%増加した乾燥後の前記植物系材料を、前記成形キャビティ内に収容することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の植物系成形体の製造方法。
- 前記処理工程では、圧力容器内において前記樹脂水溶液に前記植物系材料を沈めて前記圧力容器内を減圧状態に維持した後に、前記圧力容器内を加圧状態に維持することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の植物系成形体の製造方法。
- 前記流動成形工程における加熱によって前記樹脂成分aが硬化することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の植物系成形体の製造方法。
