上記式において、Wは樹脂水溶液に含浸し、その後に乾燥させた植物系材料の重量 であり、W0 は樹脂水溶液に含浸する前の植物系材料の重量である。
各植物成形体(木質成形体)における、波長が370〜2500nmの光線に対する光線透過率を、分光光度計(株式会社日立ハイテクサイエンス製、商品名:U-4100)を用いて測定した。その結果を、図2においてグラフとして示す。

Claims (3)
- 繊維細胞間の水素結合を切断した植物系材料を、成形キャビティ内に収容した後に加熱及び加圧し、該植物系材料の繊維細胞間に剪断力を作用させて、該繊維細胞同士の相互位置を変化させることにより該植物系材料を流動せしめ、該成形キャビティ内に充填すると共に、該成形キャビティ内に充填された該植物系材料を圧縮して賦形する、流動成形操作により、植物系成形体を製造する方法にして、
メラミン樹脂前駆体及び/又はフェノール樹脂からなる樹脂成分aと、ポリエチレングリコールからなる樹脂成分bとを含む樹脂水溶液を、植物系材料に含浸せしめることにより、該植物系材料を構成する繊維細胞間の水素結合を切断することを特徴とする植物系成形体の製造方法。 - 前記樹脂水溶液が、前記樹脂成分a及び樹脂成分bを、重量比において[樹脂成分a]:[樹脂成分b]=1:0.05〜0.15の割合において含有するものである請求項1に記載の植物系成形体の製造方法。
- 前記樹脂水溶液を含浸せしめた植物系材料を乾燥させ、該樹脂水溶液への含浸前と比較して重量が60〜95%増加した植物系材料を、前記成形キャビティ内に収容することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の植物系成形体の製造方法。
