前記液晶光制御層の下に配置され、前記液晶光制御層と実質的に同一のサイズを有する偏光反射層であって、前記偏光反射層の反射軸に平行な偏光の光を反射する一方、前記偏光反射層の前記反射軸に垂直な偏光の光を透過する、偏光反射層と、
少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域を含むディスプレイ層であって、前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域は、前記偏光反射層の少なくとも一部分の下に配置され、前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域は、前記偏光反射層の前記反射軸に垂直な偏光の偏光されたディスプレイ光を放出するように構成される、ディスプレイ層と、

- 前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域が偏光されたディスプレイ光を放出すると、前記液晶分子層の異なる領域を透過する光の偏光の回転角度を調整し、対応する前記液晶分子層の異なる領域を透過する光の偏光を変化させるように、前記制御装置は、前記第1領域および前記第2領域に異なる電圧を適用する、請求項9に記載のバックミラー。
- 少なくとも1つの光センサをさらに含み、前記少なくとも1つの光センサは、前記制御装置に動作的に接続され、前記光センサが強い環境光を検知すると、前記制御装置は、前記バックミラー全体の反射率を調節するために前記液晶光制御層に信号を送る、請求項3、7または10のいずれか1項に記載のバックミラー。
- 前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域の下に配置された偏光バックライトをさらに含み、前記偏光バックライトは、
導光板と、
前記導光板の一方の側に配置された光源と、
前記導光板の前記光源とは反対の側に配置された4分の1波長板および反射ミラーと、
前記導光板の上面の上に配置された複屈折フィルムであって、前記複屈折フィルムの通常光屈折率は、前記導光板の屈折率に近い一方、前記複屈折フィルムの異常光屈折率は、前記導光板の屈折率よりも大きい、複屈折フィルムと、
前記複屈折フィルムと前記導光板の上面との間に形成されたミクロ構造と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のバックミラー。 - 前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ領域の下に配置された偏光バックライトをさらに含み、前記偏光バックライトは、
導光板と、
前記導光板の一方の側に配置された光源と、
前記導光板の前記光源とは反対の側に配置された4分の1波長板および反射ミラーと、を含み、
前記導光板は、偏光散乱のための液晶分子層を含み、前記液晶分子層中の液晶の配向は、前記導光板の表面に垂直な面内で定義される、
請求項1に記載のバックミラー。 - 前記透明カバー基板は、化学的または物理的な強化による透明ガラスと、堅いまたは柔軟なポリマー材料とを含み、前記透明カバー基板の光透過率は、85%以上である、請求項1に記載のバックミラー。
