Description
(1)RGB LED(赤色+緑色+青色LED)、ここで白色光は、赤色、緑色および青色スペクトル領域において発光する3種の異なる発光ダイオードからの光を混合することにより発生する。
1.良好な光品質のための高い演色評価数(CRI)、
2.高い熱安定性、(T>150℃の動作温度で著しい発光強度低下なし)
3.蛍光体の高い量子効率(QE)、
4.440〜460nm(青色LEDチップの発光波長)での蛍光体の高い吸収、
5.高い化学安定性。

本発明の好ましい態様において、ドーパントDは、Eu、Mnまたはこれらの元素の混合物からなる群から選択される。特に好ましい態様において、Dは、EuまたはEuおよびMnの混合物からなる群から選択され、それは、AE+Eu+Mnの合計量に関して最大10原子%のMnを含む。Dは、特に好ましくはEuを表す。

を含む、前記方法に関する。
さらに、高純度金属、例えば金属性Siを、使用することができる。
本発明による化合物をか焼ステップの後に例えば乳鉢中で粉砕することにより粉末状にするのが、好ましい。
本発明による化合物をまた、以下で蛍光体と称する。
本発明による化合物によって、良好なLED品質が生じる。LED品質は、ここで、従来のパラメーター、例えば演色評価数(CRI)、相関色温度(CCT)、ルーメン等価もしくは絶対ルーメン、またはCIE xおよびy座標におけるカラーポイントによって記載される。
相関色温度(CCT)は、当業者が熟知しており、単位ケルビンを有する照明量である。数値が高くなるに伴って、光の青色含量は高くなり、人工的な放射線源からの白色光は観察者に対してより低温の外見を呈する。CCTは、黒体放射体の概念に従い、その色温度は、CIE図式においていわゆるプランク曲線を記載する。
ルーメンは、当業者が熟知しており、放射線源によって発せられた全可視線の評価基準である光源の光束を記載する光度計的照明量である。光束が大きくなるに伴って、光源は観察者に対してより明るい外見を呈する。
上に述べたすべての量を、光源の発光スペクトルから当業者が熟知している方法によって計算することができる。
このタイプの光源の可能な形態は、当業者に知られている。これらは、様々な構造の発光LEDチップであり得る。
本発明による光源のさらなる好ましい態様において、一次光源は、ZnO、TCO(透明な伝導性酸化物)またはSiCに基づいたルミネセント配置である。
本発明による光源のさらなる好ましい態様において、一次光源は、エレクトロルミネセンスおよび/またはフォトルミネセンスを示す源である。一次光源は、さらにまたプラズマまたは放電源であり得る。
1)本発明による化合物は、高いフォトルミネセンス量子効率を有する。これは、さらによりハロゲンアニオンX、特にフッ素を含む化合物についての場合である。
2)本発明による化合物は、スペクトルの青色域における吸収をほとんど、またはまったく示さず、したがって近UVまたは青紫色LEDを一次光源として使用するfpc−LED(完全に蛍光体変換されたLED)において使用するのに高度に適している。
4)本発明による化合物は、高い化学的安定性を有する。
試料の相形成を、各場合においてX線回折法によってチェックした。この目的のために、Bragg-Brentano幾何学によるRigaku Miniflex IIX線回折計を、使用した。使用した放射線源は、Cu−Kα放射線(λ=0.15418nm)を有するX線管であった。管を、15mAの電流強さおよび30kVの電圧で操作した。測定を、10°・min−1で10〜80°の角度範囲において行った。
例1:Ba0.63Eu0.12Al11O17.25・F0.0015の合成

出発物質を、機械的乳鉢中で10分間混合し、100%のN2雰囲気中での1350℃での3hの中間の休止ステップを伴って、1550℃で5h、H2:N2(5:95)雰囲気中で焼成する。焼成の後、材料を、微細な粉末に粉砕し、水中で洗浄し、乾燥し、50μmナイロンふるいを使用してふるい分けして、粒子サイズ範囲を狭くした。
この合成を、例1に記載したように、以下の出発物質を使用して行う:

試料の表面を、表面から第2のイオンを放出するパルスイオンビームに露光した。放出された二次的イオンの質量および化学元素を、それらの特定の飛行時間(TOF)から決定した。
機器:IONTOF, TOF-SIMS-300
分析イオン:Bix +、25keV
スパッターイオン:Cs+、1keV
深さプロフィールをまた、測定した。表面の腐食を、エネルギー1keVのセシウムイオンでスパッターすることにより行った。
試料の表面を、光電子が表面に近い領域に位置するすべての原子から放出されたように定義されたエネルギーを有する単色のX線で照射した。光電子の動的エネルギーを、半球のエネルギーアナライザーによって測定した。かかる運動エネルギーを結合エネルギーに変換することによって、光電子が放出された対応する化学元素を、決定することができる。
励起:単色Al−Kα放射線(1486.6eV/15kV)
記録角度:45°
通過エネルギー:280eV(概観)/55+140eV(詳細)/140eV(深さプロフィール)
チャンバー圧力:約3・10−6Pa
測定領域:200μm
スパッターイオン:Ar
腐食割合:1keV(約10nm/min)スパッター面積:1mm×1mm
表1中の例について示したF0.0015のフッ素含量を、前述のTOF−SIMSおよびXPS方法を使用して決定した。
すべての化合物のβ−アルミナ構造を、X線回折によって確認した。XRD結果の例を、図1〜3に示す。
フッ素を含まない先行技術による比較の試料(Ba0.63Eu0.12Al11O17.25)を、文献(A.L.N. Stevels, J. of Luminescence 17 (1978), 121-133)に記載されているように製造した。この試料は、青色部の主な寄与で青色および緑色ルミネセンスを示し、一方フッ素を含む本発明の材料(例1によるBa0.63Eu0.12Al11O17.25・F0.0015)は、同一の条件下で青色光の小さな寄与のみでほとんど緑色の発光を示す。結果は、フッ素包含によって、所望されないUV励起の下でさえも緑色発光が増強されることを示す。発光スペクトルを、図7に示す。
蛍光体変換LED(pc−LED)の製造および測定のための一般的インストラクション
特定のLED例において述べた蛍光体構成成分のmp、n(ここで指数nは、特定のLED例と関係する蛍光体ブレンドの蛍光体構成成分の数を示す)の質量を、他の蛍光体構成成分(mp、nの質量、n>1)と一緒に秤量し、その後混合する(例えばプラネタリー遠心分離ミキサーの使用による)。
本発明のLEDを、上に記載したように製造する。以下の例において使用する蛍光体を、表2に要約する。pc−LED例から得られた結果を、表3に要約する。

- 少なくとも1つの一次光源および少なくとも1種の請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の化合物を含む、光源。
- 一次光源が近UVまたは青紫色LEDダイオードであり、光源がスペクトルの青色域において発光する少なくとも1種の化合物、スペクトルの緑色域において発光する少なくとも1種の化合物およびスペクトルのオレンジ色または赤色域において発光する少なくとも1種の化合物を含む、請求項11に記載の光源。
