Description

Claims (12)
- 眼圧を低下させるために眼から房水を排出する装置であって、前記眼は、前房を有し、角膜、前記角膜を強膜層と結膜層とに連続させている周縁角膜輪部、及び瞼の下の外眼球面を含み、前記装置は、
入口端部と出口端部との間に延在する管であって、ここで、前記入口端部は、前記眼の前房と流体連通するように適合され、且つ前記管は房水の流れを前記前房から前記入口端部を通って前記出口端部に向けるように適合されている、管と、
前記管の前記出口端部と流体連通する空洞を画定するハウジングであって、ここで、前記空洞は前記房水を受け取るように構成されている、ハウジングと、
対向する近位端部及び遠位端部を有し且つ長手方向に延在するチャネルを画定する細長い管状部材であって、ここで、前記管状部材の前記近位端部は、前記管状部材によって画定された前記チャネルが前記空洞と流体連通しており、且つ前記遠位端部は、前記ハウジングから離間するように、前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記チャネルは、前記空洞から前記房水を前記近位端部を介して受け取り、そして前記遠位端部を介して、前記前房及び前記ハウジングに対して遠位に配置された排液部位へ前記房水を導くように構成されている、管状部材と
を備え、
前記管状部材は、前記装置が移植されるときに、前記遠位端部を介して前記房水を導くために、結膜の表面に沿って、円蓋若しくは盲嚢の領域中の前記遠位に配置された前記排液部位まで前記ハウジングから延在するように構成され、
前記装置は、さらに前記管状部材と動作可能に係合され、且つ前記空洞から前記管状部材の前記遠位端部を通って前記排液部位への前記房水の流量を制御するように構成された流量制御装置を備えている、
装置。 - 前記流量制御装置は、前記空洞と前記排液部位との間を連通する導管を画定し、前記導管は、予め選択された圧力を超える眼圧に応じて膨張し、管状部材を通過し排液部位への房水の流量を増加させ又は前記液流への抵抗を減少させ、及び眼圧を予め選択された圧力以下に低下させる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記管の前記入口端部と前記流量制御装置との間に流体連通して設置されたフィルタ装置を備えており、前記フィルタ装置は、前記流量制御装置の前に、前記房水から汚染物質を濾過するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記フィルタ装置は、前記管の前記出口端部の後に前記ハウジングと係合され、且つ前記ハウジングは、これと動作可能に係合された前記流量制御装置が前記ハウジングに対して取り外し可能に又は交換可能であるように構成され、前記フィルタ装置を取り外し又は交換することを可能にする、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記流量制御装置と前記管状部材の遠位端部との間に流体連通して配置されたフィルタ装置を備えており、前記フィルタ装置は、前記排液部位から前記流量制御装置への何らかの逆流からの汚染物質を濾過するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記フィルタ装置は、前記管状部材に対して取り外し可能又は交換可能であるように構成されている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記管状部材は、前記フィルタ装置の除去に際し折り畳み可能なように構成されている、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 線維性膜、炎症性膜、細菌癒合又はバイオフィルムの形成を阻害することにより前記フィルタ装置の閉塞又は細菌汚染を防止するために、前記フィルタ装置に施与された医薬剤を備えている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記管状部材の遠位端部に係合された分流器を備えており、前記分流器は、前記管状部材の遠位端部から延在する少なくとも2つの細長い分流部材を有し、各分流部材は、前記管状部材によって画定された前記チャネルと連通している分流チャネルを画定する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 各分流部材は、前記管状部材の前記遠位端部と係合する近位端部、及び対向する遠位端部を含み、前記管状部材は、前記空洞から遠位端部の外側への房水の液流を許容するように構成されている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記分流部材の1つが、前記遠位端部からの流入を可能にするように構成され、前記分流部材の1つへの流入が、前記管状部材によって画定される前記チャネルの遠位端部に入る前記液流無しに、前記分流部材を洗い流すために使用される、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 患者の快適性を高めるために、又は前記細長い管状部材の機能を改良するために、前記細長い管状部材の部分はコーティングされている、請求項1に記載の装置。
