各支柱部の前記外面は、前記切開部材に隣接する表面領域を有するアーチ状部材を画定し、前記表面領域は、前記切開部材が入れる切り目の深さを制限し、前記切開部材が前記血管の壁部を切ることを防止する、形態3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
[形態5]
前記カテーテルチューブ内でスライド運動をするように支持されている内側スリーブをさらに含み、前記内側スリーブは、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記支柱部の移動を選択的に制御するために前記拡張可能部分の遠位端に連結されている、形態3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
[形態6]
前記カテーテルチューブはハンドルアセンブリから延びており、前記内側スリーブは制御部材に接続されており、前記制御部材は、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記拡張可能部分の移動を選択的に制御するために前記ハンドルアセンブリに可動に支持されている、形態5に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
[形態7]
前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材の前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の相対的な位置を特定する指標を含む、形態6に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
[形態8]
前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材を前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の選択された位置に固定するためのロック機構を含む、形態6に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。

前記カテーテルチューブの中でスライド運動するように支持されている内側スリーブであって、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記拡張可能部分の運動を選択的に制御するように、前記ハンドルアセンブリにある前記制御部材と、前記拡張可能部分の遠位端との間に連結されている、内側スリーブと、

Claims (9)
- 各々が、血管(50)内の動脈硬化物質(54)の表面に沿って進む外面を画定する複数の支柱部(34A, 34B, 134A, 134B, 234A, 234B, 334A, 334B)を有する選択的に拡張可能部分(32, 132, 232, 332)を含む可撓性のカテーテルチューブ(30, 130, 230, 330)であって、前記拡張可能部分(32, 132, 232, 332)が、前記拡張可能部分(32, 132, 232, 332)が第1の直径を有する閉位置と、前記拡張可能部分(32, 132, 232, 332)が前記第1の直径よりも大きな第2の直径を有する開位置との間で動作可能であり、前記複数の支柱部(34A, 34B, 134A, 134B, 234A, 234B, 334A, 334B)は、それぞれ、前記支柱部の両端において互いに取り付けられている、カテーテルチューブと、

- 前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材を前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の選択された位置に固定するためのロック機構を含む、請求項3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
