Description
本特許協力条約特許出願は、2016年9月21日に出願の「Haptic Structure or Providing Localized Haptic Output」と題する米国仮特許出願第62/397,541号、及び2017年1月26日に出願の「Haptic Structure for Providing Localized Haptic Output」と題する米国非仮特許出願第15/416,466号の優先権を主張するものであり、その内容は本明細書に参照により全て組み込まれている。
Claims (17)
- タッチ感知入力表面を規定するカバーガラスと、
前記タッチ感知入力表面の下方に配置された触覚構造と、を有する電子デバイスであって、前記触覚構造は、
第1及び第2の固定端を有する梁構造を規定する基板と、
前記梁構造の第1の側に沿って位置するスペーサと、
前記梁構造の第2の側に沿って位置する圧電素子と、
を備え、
前記スペーサは、前記圧電素子と前記カバーガラスとの間に位置し、
前記圧電素子は、前記圧電素子に加えられた第1の入力信号に応じて前記梁構造を第1の方向に撓ませて第1の触覚出力を提供するように構成されており、
前記圧電素子は、前記圧電素子に加えられた第2の入力信号に応じて前記梁構造を第2の方向に撓ませて第2の触覚出力を提供するように構成されている、電子デバイス。 - 前記タッチ感知入力表面はタッチ感知ディスプレイの一部であり、
前記梁構造は、一対の平行な開口によって前記基板から形成されており、
前記スペーサは、前記基板を前記タッチ感知ディスプレイに結合し、
前記タッチ感知ディスプレイは、前記梁構造が前記第1の方向に撓んだときに前記第1の方向に撓み、
前記タッチ感知ディスプレイは、前記梁構造が前記第2の方向に撓んだときに前記第2の方向に撓み、
前記タッチ感知ディスプレイは、前記梁構造が前記第1の方向に撓んだときに前記第1の触覚出力を送信し、
前記タッチ感知ディスプレイは、前記梁構造が前記第2の方向に撓んだときに前記第2の触覚出力を送信する、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記一対の平行な開口は前記基板を通って延びる、請求項2に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記梁構造は、前記タッチ感知入力表面を通って延びる第1及び第2の開口によって画定されており、前記第2の開口は前記第1の開口から離間されており、かつ前記第1の開口に対して平行である、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記タッチ感知入力表面はキーボードである、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記タッチ感知入力表面はタッチ感知式である、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記触覚構造は第1の触覚構造であり、
前記第1の触覚構造は、前記タッチ感知入力表面の第1の部分に動作可能に接続されており、
前記電子デバイスは、前記タッチ感知入力表面の第2の部分に動作可能に接続された第2の触覚構造を更に備え、
前記第1の触覚構造は、前記タッチ感知入力表面の前記第1の部分に前記第1の触覚出力を提供し、
前記触覚構造の前記第2の部分は、前記タッチ感知入力表面の前記第2の部分に第3の触覚出力を提供する、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記第1及び第2の触覚構造は、別々の時間に撓むように動作可能である、請求項7に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記第1の触覚構造は前記第1の方向に撓むように動作可能であり、前記第2の触覚構造は前記第2の方向に撓むように動作可能である、請求項7に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記第1の触覚出力は振動である、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。
- 電子デバイスのための触覚構造であって、
外側部分と、前記外側部分によって囲まれた中央部分とを規定するカバーガラスと、
第1の撓み機構及び第2の撓み機構を規定する基板であって、前記第1の撓み機構及び前記第2の撓み機構のそれぞれが、第1及び第2の固定端により支持された梁構造を有する、基板と、
前記第1の撓み機構に結合された第1の作動素子と、
前記第1の作動素子と前記カバーガラスとの間に位置する第1のスペーサと、
前記第2の撓み機構に結合された第2の作動素子と、
前記第2の作動素子と前記カバーガラスとの間に位置する第2のスペーサと、
を含み、
前記カバーガラスは、前記第1及び第2の撓み機構の一方又は両方が撓んだことに応じて局所的に撓むように動作可能である、触覚構造。 - 前記第1の撓み機構は、第1の方向及び反対の第2の方向に撓むように動作可能である、請求項11に記載の触覚構造。
- 前記第1の撓み機構及び前記第2の撓み機構は、互いに異なる周波数で撓むように動作可能である、請求項11に記載の触覚構造。
- 前記基板は前記電子デバイスのハウジングであり、
前記電子デバイスは、スタイラス、時計、マウス、キーボード又はトラックパッドのいずれかである、請求項11に記載の触覚構造。 - 入力表面と、
前記入力表面の下方の第1の箇所に形成された第1の梁構造と、
前記第1の梁構造の第1の側に沿って、前記入力表面の第1の部分の下に位置する第1のスペーサと、
前記第1のスペーサの下の前記第1の梁構造の第2の側に沿って位置し、第1の受信入力に応じて前記第1の梁構造及び前記入力表面の前記第1の部分を撓ませるように動作可能である第1の圧電素子と、
前記入力表面の下方の第2の箇所に形成された第2の梁構造と、
前記第2の梁構造の第3の側に沿って、前記入力表面の第2の部分の下に位置する第2のスペーサと、
前記第2のスペーサの下の前記第2の梁構造の第4の側に沿って位置し、第2の受信入力に応じて前記第2の梁構造及び前記入力表面の前記第2の部分を撓ませるように動作可能である第2の圧電素子と、を備える電子デバイス。 - 前記第1及び第2の梁構造が単一の基板から形成されている、請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記第1及び第2の梁構造は、前記単一の基板の第1の部分において形成され、前記単一の基板は前記第1の部分に追加して第2の部分を有し、
前記第1及び第2の梁構造のいずれかが撓んだときに前記単一の基板の前記第2の部分は撓まない、請求項16に記載の電子デバイス。
