Description
以下、本発明について、図面を参照しながら説明する。本発明の実施形態である操作感触付与型入力装置100は、操作ノブを操作する操作者が受ける複数の操作感触をソフトウエアによって切り替えることが可能なロータリー式の入力装置であって、車載機器等の電子機器内に取り付けられて使用される。本発明の操作感触付与型入力装置100の用途については、以下説明する実施形態に限定されるものではなく適宜変更が可能である。尚、本明細書では、各図面に対する説明の中で便宜上、右側、左側、上側、下側と記載している場合があるが、これらは、それぞれ各図面内で+X側、−X側、+Z側、−Z側を示すものであり、製品の設置方向や使用時の方向をこれらに限定するものではない。

Claims (3)
- 固定部と、前記固定部に回転自在に支持された操作軸と、前記操作軸に固定された操作ノブと、前記操作軸の回転角度を検出する回転角度検出部と、前記操作軸にブレーキ力を付与するブレーキ付与部と、前記操作軸にトルクを付与するトルク付与部と、前記ブレーキ付与部と前記トルク付与部とを制御する制御部と、を備えた操作感触付与型入力装置であって、
前記操作軸に作用する操作トルクの大きさを検出する操作トルク検出部が設けられ、
前記回転角度検出部によって前記操作ノブがエンドストップ位置に至ったことが検出されたときに前記ブレーキ付与部で前記操作軸にブレーキが付与され、
前記操作軸にブレーキが付与された状態で前記操作ノブを回転させたときに、前記操作軸を介して前記操作ノブに作用する前記操作トルクの大きさに応じて、前記エンドストップからのブレーキ解除が行なわれる、ことを特徴とする操作感触付与型入力装置。 - 前記操作ノブをいずれかの回転方向に回転させて前記エンドストップ位置に至ったことが検出されて前記操作軸にブレーキが付与された後に、
前記操作トルク検出部で検出される前記回転方向への操作トルクの大きさが所定値以上でないときは、前記回転方向への操作が継続されていないと判定されて、前記ブレーキ解除が行われる請求項1記載の操作感触付与型入力装置。 - 前記ブレーキ付与部は、前記操作軸に固定された回転板と、前記固定部と前記回転板との隙間に介在する磁気粘性流体と、前記磁気粘性流体に磁場を与えるブレーキ付与コイルとを有し、
前記ブレーキ解除は、前記ブレーキ付与コイルに与える電流を制御することによって行われる請求項1または2に記載の操作感触付与型入力装置。
