Description
本出願は、2015年1月13日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/102,778号の出願日の利益を主張するものであり、当該出願の開示を本明細書で引用により援用する。
本発明は、さまざまな脊椎疾患を治療するための拡張可能な脊椎ロッドに関する。
Claims (16)
- 内部空洞を有する長尺の第1のロッド部であって、長尺に沿った第1の方向に向かうに従い直径が太くなるテーパ部が設けられた、第1のロッド部と、
前記第1のロッド部の内部空洞内に、少なくとも部分的に配置され、前記第1のロッド部に対して前記第1の方向に移動可能であり、長手方向に対して一定の横断面形状を有する長手方向の長さを備えた細長いロッド部分を有している第2のロッド部と、
前記第1のロッド部のテーパ部の内側に位置し、前記第2のロッド部が前記第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に移動することを防止するために前記第2のロッド部の前記細長いロッド部分を圧迫している、ストッパと、
を備えていることを特徴とする拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。 - 前記ストッパは、第1の係止方向に移動可能であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記ストッパは、前記第1の係止方向とは反対の、第2の解放方向に移動可能であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第2のロッド部は、内部空洞の内壁面に封止係合することによって、液圧室を画定することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記液圧室に流体連通する注入ポートをさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 患者の皮下に埋め込むように構成されたポンプであって、前記液圧と流体連通しているポンプをさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記ポンプは、浸透圧ポンプであることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第2のロッド部の前記第1のロッド部に対する前記内部空洞内での移動により、前記液圧室の体積が変化するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第1のロッド部及び前記第2のロッド部は、湾曲していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第1のロッド部は、第1の椎骨に埋め込まれた第1の固定要素に接続するように構成された長尺ロッド部分を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第2のロッド部は、第2の椎骨に埋め込まれた第2の固定要素に接続するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 前記第1の方向は拡張方向であり、前記第2の方向は収縮方向であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 内部空洞を有する第1のロッド部と、
長手方向軸を有し、前記第1のロッド部の内側空洞内に少なくとも部分的に配置され、前記第1のロッド部に対して第1の方向に移動可能であり、長手方向に対して一定の横断面形状を有する長手方向の長さを備えた細長いロッド部分を有している第2のロッド部と、
前記第2のロッド部の長手方向軸に交差する軸に沿って移動可能であり、前記第2のロッド部が第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に移動することを防止するために前記第2のロッド部の前記細長いロッド部分を圧迫している、ストッパと、
を備えていることを特徴とする拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。 - 前記第2のロッド部は、内部空洞の内壁面に封止係合することによって、液圧室を画定することを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
- 内部空洞と液圧室とを有する第1のロッド部と、
前記第1のロッド部の内部空洞内に少なくとも部分的に配置され、前記第1のロッド部に対して第1の方向に移動可能であり、長手方向に対して一定の横断面形状を有する長手方向の長さを備えた細長いロッド部分を有している第2のロッド部と、
前記第1のロッド部のテーパ面と係合可能であり、前記第2のロッド部が前記第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に移動することを防止するために前記第2のロッド部の前記細長いロッド部分を圧迫している、ストッパと、
前記液圧室に流体連通し、前記第2のロッド部を第1の方向に移動させるように構成された浸透圧ポンプと、
を備えていることを特徴とする拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。 - 前記ストッパは、前記第2のロッド部の長手方向軸と交差する軸に沿って移動可能であることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の拡張可能な脊椎ロッドシステム。
