Description
本出願は、2014年12月24日に出願した米国仮特許出願第62/096,758号、及び2015年8月31日に出願した米国特許出願第14/840,288号に基づく優先権の利益を主張する。当該開示は、参照によりその全体が本明細書に援用される。
接着剤材料のレオロジー特性評価は、40mmの平滑なペルチェプレートと1mmの間隙とを有する平行プレート配置を用いて、TA InstrumentsのG2 Aresレオメーターにて行った。様々な試験を使用して材料を特性評価した。すなわち、せん断速度勾配試験、せん断速度ジャンプ試験、歪み掃引試験、及び周波数掃引試験を使用した。

[付記1]
ポリマー結合剤、充てん剤及びレオロジー改質剤を含む接着剤組成物であって、前記レオロジー改質剤が、湿性の前記組成物の重量の約0.01%〜約15%の量であり;
前記結合剤が、アクリル酸ポリマー、アクリル酸コポリマー、アルキド、ポリウレタン、ポリエステル、エポキシ、及びそれらの組合せから選択され、前記結合剤の量は、前記湿性の組成物の固体に基づく重量の10%〜40%であり;
前記充てん剤は、ゲル化粘土、剥離粘土、及びそれらの任意の組合せからなる群より選択され、前記充てん剤の量は1重量%〜40重量%であり;ならびに
前記組成物の粘度は、100〜200ブラベンダーユニットの範囲であり、密度は約7.5ポンド/ガロン〜約10ポンド/ガロンの範囲である、接着剤組成物。

前記結合剤が、ポリ酢酸ビニル(PVAc)、ポリビニルアルコール(PVOH)、及びポリ酢酸ビニルとポリビニルアルコールの組合せからなる群より選択される、付記1記載の接着剤組成物。

前記組成物が、1種以上のヒドロキシエチルセルロース系レオロジー改質剤と、1種以上のポリアクリレート系会合性増粘剤と、を含む、付記1記載の接着剤組成物。

前記組成物が、約3〜約20の親水性−親油性バランス(HLB)を有する1種以上の界面活性剤をさらに含む、付記1記載の接着剤組成物。

前記組成物のpHが7.0〜12.0の範囲になるよう調整されている、付記1記載の接着剤組成物。
[付記9]
前記結合剤が、10重量%〜40重量%の量のポリ酢酸ビニル/ポリビニルアルコールの組合せであり、前記充てん剤が、0.5重量%〜1.5重量%の量のアタパルジャイト粘土と5重量%〜15重量%の量のカオリン粘土の組合せであり、前記レオロジー改質剤が0.01重量%〜5重量%の量であり、前記組成物が、0.01重量%〜5重量%の量のポリアクリレート系会合性増粘剤と、0.01%〜1%の量の界面活性剤と、0.01%〜1%の量の消泡剤と、をさらに含む、付記1記載の接着剤組成物。
[付記10]
1つ以上のフレーム部材を設置すること;
2枚の石膏ボードが1つ以上の側面で隣接し、隣接する前記2枚の石膏ボード間で目地継ぎ目が作成されるようにして、前記2枚の石膏ボードを張ること;
前記目地継ぎ目を、付記1記載の接着剤組成物で被覆すること;及び
目地補強テープ及び補強トリムのうちの1つ以上を、前記接着剤で被覆した前記目地継ぎ目を覆って付着させること、
を含む壁を組み立てる方法。
Claims (11)
- ポリマー結合剤、充てん剤、1種以上のレオロジー改質剤、及びポリアクリレート系会合性増粘剤を含む接着剤組成物であって、
前記レオロジー改質剤が、前記組成物の重量の0.01%〜5%の量のヒドロキシエチルセルロース系レオロジー改質剤からなり、
前記結合剤が、前記組成物の重量の10重量%〜40重量%の量のポリ酢酸ビニルとポリビニルアルコールの組合せであり、
前記充てん剤が、前記組成物の重量の0.5重量%〜1.5重量%の量のアタパルジャイト粘土と前記組成物の重量の5重量%〜15重量%の量のカオリン粘土の組合せであり、
前記ポリアクリレート系会合性増粘剤が、前記組成物の重量の0.01重量%〜5重量%の量であり、
前記組成物の粘度が、0.2Pa・s〜1.4Pa・s(100〜700ブラベンダーユニット)の範囲であり、
前記組成物の密度が、0.240kg/L〜1.8kg/L(2ポンド/ガロン〜15ポンド/ガロン)の範囲であり、
前記組成物には前記粘度及び前記密度をもたらすように水が配合されている、
接着剤組成物。 - 前記レオロジー改質剤が、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース(HEC)、エチルヒドロキシエチルセルロース(EHEC)、メチルヒドロキシエチルセルロース(MHEC)、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース(HPMC)、アルキルヒドロキシプロピルセルロースエーテル、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、ならびにそれらの任意の組合せからなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記組成物が、3〜20の親水性−親油性バランス(HLB)を有する1種以上の界面活性剤をさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記組成物のpHが7.0〜12.0の範囲になるよう調整されている、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記組成物が、前記組成物の重量の0.01%〜1%の量の界面活性剤と、前記組成物の重量の0.01%〜1%の量の消泡剤と、をさらに含む、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記組成物が、着色剤、起泡剤、消泡剤、緩衝材、沈降防止剤、湿潤剤、及び可塑剤のうちの1つ以上をさらに含む、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記組成物の粘度が、0.2Pa・s〜0.4Pa・s(100〜200ブラベンダーユニット)の範囲であり、前記組成物の密度が、0.90kg/L〜1.2kg/L(7.5ポンド/ガロン〜10ポンド/ガロン)の範囲である、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 1つ以上のフレーム部材を設置すること、
2枚の石膏ボードが1つ以上の側面で隣接し、隣接する前記2枚の石膏ボード間で目地継ぎ目が作成されるようにして、前記2枚の石膏ボードを張ること、
前記目地継ぎ目を、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物で被覆すること、及び
目地補強テープ及び補強トリムのうちの1つ以上を、前記接着剤組成物で被覆した前記目地継ぎ目を覆って付着させること、
を含む壁を組み立てる方法。 - 前記接着剤組成物は前記フレーム部材にも塗布される、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤組成物は前記目地補強テープ及び前記補強トリムのうち1つ以上の裏側にも塗布され、その後、前記目地補強テープ及び前記補強トリムのうち1つ以上は前記目地継ぎ目を覆って配置され前記目地継ぎ目に接着される、請求項8又は9に記載の方法。
- 前記目地補強テープを覆って1層以上の目地材組成物の被覆を塗布することをさらに含む、請求項8から10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
