Claims (15)
- スペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の配列を供給するためのマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドであって、前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドはそれぞれの標的物質を含むそれぞれの標的領域の上方に位置決めされるものであり、前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドは、
流入口および流出口と、
前記流入口に流体接続され、注入液体を前記流入口からそれぞれの標的領域に給送するように構成された第1の流路であって、動作時に、それぞれの前記標的領域は浸液で覆われそれぞれの標的物質を含んでいる、前記第1の流路と、
前記流出口に流体接続され、前記注入液体の少なくとも一部と前記浸液の少なくとも一部とそれぞれの標的物質とを各液体体積が含む液体体積を、それぞれの前記標的領域から前記流出口に給送するように構成された第2の流路と、
前記第2の流路にスベーサ合流部において流体接続されたスペーサ流路に流体接続され、スペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の前記配列を供給するために前記第2の流路において前記液体体積の間にスペーサの挿入を行うように構成されたスペーサ挿入部とを含む、マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。 - 前記浸液中に浸漬されるように構成された端面を有する本体と、
前記端面に形成され、前記第1の流路に流体接続された第1の開口と、
前記端面に形成され、前記第2の流路に流体接続された第2の開口とをさらに含み、
前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドは、
前記注入液体を第1の流量で前記第1の開口と前記第1の流路とを通して給送し、
前記液体体積を第2の流量で前記第2の開口と前記第2の流路とを通して吸引するように構成され、
前記液体体積を前記浸液内に閉じ込めるように前記第2の流量は前記第1の流量より大きく、前記第1の流量に対する前記第2の流量の比は前記第1の開口から前記第2の開口への層流が得られるような値とされる、請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。 - 前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドは、第1の動作モードと第2の動作モードとを有し、
前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドは、前記第1の動作モードではそれぞれの標的領域からそれぞれの標的物質を回収するように構成され、
前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドは、前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドを通る流れの方向が反転される前記第2の動作モードでは、それぞれの標的領域にそれぞれの標的物質を付着させるように構成された、請求項1または2に記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。 - 前記第1の流路と前記第2の流路とを互いに流体接続する流体バイパスをさらに含み、
前記第2の流路は、各個別液体体積がそれぞれの前記標的物質を含むスペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の配列を、それぞれの前記標的領域に向けて給送するようにさらに構成され、
前記流体バイパスは、前記第1の流路において前記スペーサの除去を行うことによってスペーサのない個別液体体積の自由配列を得るようにするものであり、
前記第1の流路は、除去された前記スペーサを前記流出口に給送するように構成された、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。 - 前記第2の流路内部に検出体積を有し、それぞれの標的物質を検出するように構成された検出部をさらに含む、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- 前記スペーサ挿入部は、前記検出部によって生成された検出信号に応じて挿入するように構成された、請求項5に記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- 前記スペーサ挿入部は、前記スペーサを固定挿入速度で挿入するように構成された、請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- それぞれの前記標的物質は生化学物質である、請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- それぞれの前記標的物質は、生体の少なくとも細胞を含む、請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- それぞれの前記標的物質はデオキシリボ核酸(DNA)を含む、請求項1ないし9のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- 前記スペーサは、前記注入液体、前記浸液、およびそれぞれの前記標的物質とは混合しない、請求項1ないし10のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッド。
- 請求項1ないし11のいずれかに記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドと、
前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドをそれぞれの標的領域の上方に位置決めするように構成された位置決め装置とを含む、マイクロ流体プローブ。 - 前記スペーサ挿入部は、前記スペーサを前記第2の流路にある挿入速度で挿入するように構成され、
前記挿入速度は、前記位置決め装置による前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドの前記位置決めと同期される、
請求項12に記載のマイクロ流体プローブ。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドを使用してスペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の配列を供給する方法であって、前記マイクロ流体プローブ・ヘッドはそれぞれの標的物質を含むそれぞれの標的領域の上方に位置決めされるものであり、前記方法は、
浸液に覆われ、それぞれの標的物質を含んでいるそれぞれの標的領域に、注入液体を流入口から第1の流路を介して給送することと、
前記注入液体の少なくとも一部と前記浸液の少なくとも一部とそれぞれの標的物質とを各液体体積が含む液体体積を、第2の流路を介してそれぞれの前記標的領域から流出口に給送することと、
前記液体体積の間にスペーサを挿入することによりスペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の前記配列を供給することとを含む方法。 - 第1のモードで、
前記注入液体を前記流入口からそれぞれの前記標的領域に給送し、前記液体体積をそれぞれの前記標的領域から前記流出口に給送し、前記スペーサを前記液体体積の間に挿入することによりスペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の前記配列を供給することと、
第2のモードで、
スペーサによって分離された個別液体体積の配列を前記第2の流路を介して前記流出口からそれぞれの前記標的領域に向けて給送することと、
前記液体体積を互いに分離する前記スペーサを、前記第1の流路と前記第2の流路とを接続する流体バイパスを介して前記第2の流路から除去することによってスペーサのない個別液体体積の自由配列を得ることと、
個別液体体積の前記自由配列をそれぞれの前記標的領域に給送することと、
除去された前記スペーサを前記流体バイパスから前記第1の流路を介して前記流入口に給送することとをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
