Claims (12)
- 少なくとも先端部分が被検体内に挿入される挿入物であって、前記先端部分まで光を導光する導光部材と、前記導光部材により導光された光を吸収して光音響波を発生する光音響波発生部とを有する挿入物と、
前記光音響波を検出する複数の検出素子が配列された検出素子アレイを有する音響波検出部と、
前記音響波検出部を制御することによって、前記検出素子アレイのうちの一部の検出素子群を特定し、該一部の検出素子群を切り換えて前記光音響波の受信領域を切り換えることによって前記検出素子アレイ全体の受信領域の検出信号を取得する制御部と、
前記光音響波の検出信号に基づいて、光音響画像を生成する光音響画像生成部と、
前記光音響画像に基づいて、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置を検出する先端位置検出部とを備え、
前記制御部が、前記先端位置検出部によって検出された前記挿入物の先端部分の位置に基づいて、前記一部の検出素子群を特定する光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記先端位置検出部が、時系列に生成された前記光音響画像に基づいて、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置を時系列に検出し、
前記制御部が、前記時系列に検出された前記挿入物の先端部分の位置に基づいて、前記一部の検出素子群を順次特定する請求項1記載の光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記制御部が、前記一部の検出素子群の切り換えパターンを予め複数記憶するものであり、
前記挿入物の先端部分の位置に基づいて、前記複数の切り換えパターンのいずれかを選択し、該選択した切り換えパターンを用いて前記一部の検出素子群を切り換える請求項1記載の光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記検出素子アレイが、前記複数の検出素子を少なくとも一列に配列したものであり、該配列方向を左右方向とした場合において、前記一部の検出素子群の切り換えパターンの1つが、前記検出素子アレイの左側半分の検出素子群と右側半分の検出素子群との2つの検出素子群を切り換えるパターンである請求項3記載の光音響画像生成装置。
- 前記一部の検出素子群の切り換えパターンの1つが、前記検出素子アレイの中央部分の検出素子群と該中央部分を挟む左右の検出素子群との2つの検出素子群を切り換えるパターンであり、
前記制御部が、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置に基づいて、前記検出素子アレイの左側半分の検出素子群と右側半分の検出素子群との2つの検出素子群を切り換えるパターンと、前記検出素子アレイの中央部分の検出素子群と該中央部分を挟む左右の検出素子群との2つの検出素子群を切り換えるパターンとのいずれかを選択する請求項4記載の光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記検出素子アレイの左側半分の検出素子群の受信領域と右側半分の検出素子群の受信領域との境界が、前記検出素子アレイの中央部分の検出素子群の受信領域に含まれる請求項5記載の光音響画像生成装置。
- 前記制御部が、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置と前記検出素子群の受信領域の境界との間の距離が予め設定された閾値以下となった場合に、前記切り換えパターンを変更する請求項3から6いずれか1項記載の光音響画像生成装置。
- 前記制御部が、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置の検出の前に、前記複数の切り換えパターンを交互に設定し、
前記先端位置検出部が、前記各切り換えパターンに対応する各光音響画像に基づいて、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置を検出する請求項3から7いずれか1項記載の光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記先端位置検出部によって前記挿入物の先端部分の位置が検出不能であった場合に、
前記制御部が、前記複数の切り換えパターンを交互に設定し、
前記先端位置検出部が、前記各切り換えパターンに対応する各光音響画像に基づいて、前記挿入物の先端部分の位置を検出する請求項3から8いずれか1項記載の光音響画像生成装置。 - 前記挿入物の先端部分の位置が検出される前の初期設定の前記切り換えパターンの選択を受け付ける切り換えパターン選択受付部を備えた請求項3から7および9いずれか1項記載の光音響画像生成装置。
- 前記切り換えパターン選択受付部が、前記初期設定の切り換えパターンの選択として、前記挿入物の強調表示処理の選択を受け付ける請求項10記載の光音響画像生成装置。
- 前記挿入物が、前記被検体に穿刺される針である請求項1から11いずれか1項記載の光音響画像生成装置。
