Description
Claims (10)
- 互いに隣接して配置され、上流側および下流側を有するニップを間に定める1対の回転するローラと、
前記ローラのうちの少なくとも一方を供給流体で被覆するように構成された流体源と、
1対の外側バッフルおよび前記外側バッフルの間に配置された内部バッフルを有しており、前記内部バッフルは、前記ニップの下流側へとバッフル流体を導くように構成され、前記外側バッフルは、前記バッフル流体の少なくとも一部分と前記ニップの下流側において前記1対のローラの遠ざかる表面の間で前記供給流体を引き延ばすことによって形成される流体液滴とを含む懸濁物を受け取るように構成されているバッフルユニットと
を備える霧化装置。 - 側壁と出口ポートとを備えるハウジングをさらに備えており、前記1対の回転するローラ、前記流体源、および前記バッフルユニットは、前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記バッフルユニットは、前記ハウジングおよび出口ポートと結び付くようにさらに構成される、請求項1に記載の霧化装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記側壁は、熱的に絶縁性である、請求項2に記載の霧化装置。
- 前記ハウジングの内部、前記1対の回転するローラ、前記流体源、前記供給流体、前記バッフル流体、および前記バッフルユニットのうちの少なくとも1つを加熱するように構成された熱源をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の霧化装置。
- 前記1対の外側バッフルのうちの少なくとも一方は、前記懸濁物中の前記流体液滴の少なくとも一部を集めるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の霧化装置。
- 互いに隣接して配置され、上流側および下流側を有するニップを間に定める1対の遠ざかる表面を有する1対の回転するローラと、
前記遠ざかる表面のうちの少なくとも一方を流体で被覆するように構成された流体源と、
1対の外側バッフルおよび前記外側バッフルの間に配置された内部バッフルを有しており、前記内部バッフルは、前記ニップの下流側へと空気を導くように構成され、前記外側バッフルは、前記空気の少なくとも一部分と前記ニップの下流側において前記遠ざかる表面の間で前記流体を引き延ばすことによって形成される流体液滴との懸濁物を受け取るように構成されているバッフルユニットと
を備える霧化装置。 - 供給流体を霧化させる方法であって、
流体源から前記供給流体を、1対の回転するローラの間に定められ、上流側および下流側を有しているニップを通って引き込むステップと、
前記ニップの下流側において前記1対の回転するローラの遠ざかる表面の間で前記供給流体を引き延ばし、流体フィラメントを形成するステップと、
前記ニップの下流側に隣接して配置されたバッフルユニットの内部バッフルからバッフル流体の少なくとも一部分を吐出するステップと、
前記ニップの下流側において前記1対の回転するローラの遠ざかる表面の間で前記引き延ばされる供給流体フィラメントから形成される複数の供給流体液滴を、前記バッフル流体の少なくとも一部分に懸濁させるステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記供給流体および前記バッフル流体の一方または両方を加熱するステップをさらに含む請求項7に記載の流体を霧化させる方法。
- 前記バッフル流体および前記複数の供給流体液滴の前記懸濁物の少なくとも一部分を前記バッフルユニットの少なくとも表面上に集めるステップをさらに含む請求項7に記載の流体を霧化させる方法。
- 前記複数の霧化流体液滴の少なくとも物理的特性を検出するステップと、前記検出された物理的特性に応じて前記引き延ばし、吐出、または懸濁の各ステップのうちの少なくとも1つを変更するステップとをさらに含む請求項7に記載の流体を霧化させる方法。
