Description
一方、二次電池パックの電極端子は、高電圧ケーブルで車両駆動モーターに電気的に接続でき、通常、前記電極端子は、パックケースに設けられた端子設置用貫通孔を通過してパックケースの外部に露出する。
ところが、このようにOリングなどを用いた封止構造は、二次電池パックの内部圧力及び温度増加時に、Oリングが脆くなって端子設置用貫通孔の部位に漏出(Leakage)現象が発生し得、パックケースの製作過程で端子設置用貫通孔の寸法誤差や電極端子との組立公差などによって、Oリングが端子設置用貫通孔の内面に完全に密着しないことが多い。この場合、パックケースの端子設置用貫通孔と電極端子部位との封止性が大幅低下してしまう問題がある。
前記ボンディングカバーは、プラスチック材質から形成され得る。
図1〜図4を参照すれば、本発明による二次電池パック10は、セルアセンブリー100、センシング部200、電装品300、パックケース400、電極端子500を含む。
先ず、セルアセンブリー100は、一つ以上の二次電池110と、これらを収納及び支持する積層用フレーム120と、を含んで構成され得る。

Claims (12)
- 二次電池と、前記二次電池を支持し、一方向に積層配列される積層用フレームと、を備えるセルアセンブリーと、
内部空間を備え、前記セルアセンブリーを収納し、内外部の方向へ貫通孔が形成されたパックケースと、
前記セルアセンブリーと電気的に接続し、前記貫通孔を通過して前記パックケースの外部へ突出するように設けられた電極端子と、
前記貫通孔と前記電極端子との隙間に充填されて接着層を形成するボンディング部と、
前記ボンディング部の上部で前記電極端子の周りを囲み、前記パックケースの貫通孔に付着されるように設けられたボンディングカバーと、
を含み、
前記ボンディングカバーが、前記貫通孔の外で前記パックケースの上面に密着する外周部と、締まりばめによって前記電極端子の周面に接し、前記外周部に対して下方へ折れ、前記貫通孔の中に挿入配置可能に形成された内周部と、を含むことを特徴とする二次電池パック。 - 前記ボンディングカバーが、環状である請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記ボンディングカバーの内周部が、前記ボンディングカバーの外周部に対し、90°以上180°未満の角度に傾いたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記パックケースが、上部が開放され、内部に収納空間を備えるように形成された下部ケースと、前記下部ケースの開放された上部を覆うように形成された上部ケースと、を含み、
前記貫通孔が、前記上部ケースのコーナー領域に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。 - 前記電極端子が、前記貫通孔に固定結合する本体部と、前記本体部から延び、前記上部ケースの外部へ突出するように形成された突出部と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記貫通孔は、少なくとも前記電極端子が通過可能な直径で形成された下端孔部と、前記下端孔部よりも大きい直径で形成された上端孔部と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記ボンディング部が、前記貫通孔の上端孔部に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記ボンディングカバーが、前記電極端子の本体部に締まりばめになり、前記貫通孔の上端孔部を覆うように設けられたことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記ボンディングカバーが、プラスチック材質から形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電極端子の上部及び側面の一部を覆い、前記パックケースに設けられる係合段に係止結合及び係止結合解除される係止段を備え、前記パックケースに着脱可能に設けられた端子カバーをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電極端子が、正極端子及び負極端子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 請求項1から請求項11のうちいずれか一項に記載の二次電池パックを含む自動車。
