Claims (3)
- 所定容積の第1の共鳴室と、該第1の共鳴室と内燃機関の吸気通路とを連通する第1の連通管とを有する消音装置であって、
前記第1の共鳴室内に前記第1の連通管から不連続に形成されるとともに開口部を有する第2の連通管と、該第2の連通管の一端に形成される第2の共鳴室とが形成され、
前記第2の共鳴室は、前記第1の共鳴室の対向する壁面のそれぞれから延設されると共に、開放端を有する第1の筒状部材と第2の筒状部材によって画成され、
前記第1の筒状部材は、前記第2の筒状部材内に所定の隙間を介して挿通され、前記第1の筒状部材と前記第2の筒状部材の重畳部分によって前記第2の連通管を形成することを特徴とする消音装置。 - 請求項1に記載の消音装置において、
前記第2の連通管の長さは、前記第1の筒状部材と前記第2の筒状部材の重畳する長さを調整することにより調整可能であることを特徴とする消音装置。 - 請求項1に記載の消音装置において、
前記第1の共鳴室は、少なくとも前記対向する壁面の一方の壁面を備えるとともに、前記一方の壁面から延設される前記第1の筒状部材を備えた有底筒状の第1の分割体と、前記対向する壁面の他方の壁面を備えるとともに、前記他方の壁面から延設される前記第2の筒状部材を備えた有底筒状の第2の分割体とを備えることを特徴とする消音装置。
