Description
溶射被膜は、表面粗さが大きく、内部に空隙が形成されている。切れ刃が空隙を通過する際の切削状態は、断続切削における空転状態と類似する。断続切削においては、切削工具は、摩耗により大きく損傷する。断続切削においては、切削工具の摩耗を軽減するために、水溶性クーラントを用いることが一般的である。
本開示の一態様に係る部材の製造方法によると、切削工具の工具寿命を改善することができる。
まず、本開示の実施態様を列記して説明する。
(2)上記(1)の部材の製造方法において、油を供給する工程は、溶射被膜の表面に油を塗布することにより行われてもよい。上記(2)の部材の製造方法によると、切削工具の工具寿命を改善することができる。
次に、本開示の実施形態の詳細を、図面を参照して説明する。なお、各図中同一又は相当部分には同一符号を付している。また、以下に記載する実施の形態の少なくとも一部を任意に組み合わせてもよい。

Claims (6)
- 基材と、前記基材の表面に形成された溶射被膜とを有する部材の製造方法であって、
前記溶射被膜の凹部に、40℃における動粘度が3mm2/s以上43mm2/s以下である油を供給する工程と、
前記凹部に前記油が供給された前記溶射被膜の表面を、切削工具を用いて前記油以外の液体クーラントを供給することなく切削する工程とを備え、
前記切削工具の少なくとも一部は、立方晶窒化ホウ素の焼結体からなり、
前記切削工具の切れ刃は、前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の焼結体に形成され、
前記油の供給量は、前記溶射被膜の見かけ重量に対し、0.1重量パーセント以上2.7重量パーセント以下であり、
前記凹部は、前記表面に存在する窪み及び前記溶射被膜の内部に存在する空隙である、部材の製造方法。 - 前記油を供給する工程は、前記溶射被膜の表面に前記油を塗布することにより行われる、請求項1に記載の部材の製造方法。
- 前記油を供給する工程は、前記溶射被膜を前記油中に浸漬することにより行われる、請求項1に記載の部材の製造方法。
- 前記切削工具は、前記立方晶窒化ホウ素の焼結体に被覆されたコーティング層をさらに有し、
前記コーティング層は、チタン、アルミニウム及びクロムからなる群から選択される少なくとも1以上の元素と、窒素、炭素及び酸素からなる群から選択される少なくとも1以上の元素とを含む化合物により構成される、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の部材の製造方法。 - 前記切削工具を用いて前記油以外の液体クーラントを供給することなく切削する工程において、前記切れ刃に不活性物質を供給しながら切削する、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の部材の製造方法。
- 前記不活性物質は、二酸化炭素の気体又は固体である、請求項5に記載の部材の製造方法。
