Description
図4に、従来の偏分波器の構成が示されており、この例では、方形導波管12の水平方向(Eh)の中央で、垂直偏波面(Ev)と平行に、非金属、平板の抵抗体13が取り付けられる。
しかも、この抵抗板13の取付けでは、高次モードの低減が良好に図られることが要請される。
請求項2の発明は、上記主導波管の壁面にザグリ部を設け、このザグリ部に上記抵抗体を取り付けることを特徴とする。
請求項3の発明は、上記主導波管の抵抗率をρWG、上記抵抗体の抵抗率をρResとすると、ρWG<ρResの関係を満たすようにしたことを特徴とする。
上記主導波管を伝搬する電波は、絞り部を通過することで、水平偏波と垂直偏波に分離され、これら水平偏波と垂直偏波は、それぞれの分岐導波管に出力されるが、このとき、上記の抵抗体により高次モードの発生が抑圧され、この高次モードによる急峻な共振が減少する。即ち、高次モードが生じると高周波電流の大きく流れる部分が現れるので、この高周波電流を抵抗体により抑えることにより、高次モードによる共振を低減することができる。

Claims (3)
- 主導波管と、この主導波管に接続された複数の分岐導波管と、上記主導波管の水平方向又は垂直方向の内寸法を絞ることにより伝送波を水平偏波と垂直偏波に分離する絞り部と、を備えた偏分波器において、
上記主導波管の壁面に抵抗体を設け、この抵抗体は、抑圧対象周波数の波長の程度の長さとし、上記主導波管の絞り部との境目近傍を始点として絞り部側へ配置したことを特徴とする偏分波器。 - 上記主導波管の壁面にザグリ部を設け、このザグリ部に上記抵抗体を取り付けることを特徴とする請求項1記載の偏分波器。
- 上記主導波管の抵抗率をρWG、上記抵抗体の抵抗率をρResとすると、ρWG<ρResの関係を満たすようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の偏分波器。
