Description
Claims (26)

(b)前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブを横切る方向である幅方向に横断して延在する第一のエネルギー印加装置を前記ドラム上に前記ドラムと共に回転して前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブと共に移動するように提供するステップであって、前記第一のエネルギー印加装置が、一次結合パターンおよび二次結合パターンを含み、前記二次結合パターンと組み合わせた前記一次結合パターンが幅方向に連続的に延在する、提供するステップと、
(c)前記第一のエネルギー印加装置に対向するように第二のエネルギー印加装置を前記ドラム上に提供するステップであって、前記ドラム上で前記第一のエネルギー印加装置および前記第二のエネルギー印加装置の間に前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブが提供される、該ステップと、
(d)前記第一のエネルギー印加装置および前記第二のエネルギー印加装置が前記ドラム上で前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブと共に前記縦方向に移動している間に、前記第二のエネルギー印加装置を幅方向に移動させるステップであって、それによって前記第一のエネルギー印加装置の上に前記第二のエネルギー印加装置を延在させ、前記第一および第二のエネルギー印加装置を協働して動作させ、それにより前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブを横切って徐々に移動させるラインで、エネルギーを前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブに加え、前記材料の第一のウェブを前記材料の第二のウェブに結合する、移動させるステップと、を含む、方法。 - 前記第一のエネルギー印加装置が、前記幅方向に延在する金属バーであるアンビルを備え、および前記第二のエネルギー印加装置が、前記アンビルの上に位置するロータリー超音波ホーンを備え、前記ロータリー超音波ホーンは、前記ロータリー超音波ホーンに対向する面に前記一次結合パターンおよび前記二次結合パターンが形成された前記アンビルと協働して両者の間に挟んだ前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブに圧力を加えて、前記材料の第一のウェブおよび前記材料の第二のウェブに超音波エネルギーを加える、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 前記一次結合パターンが、縦方向に延在する二列のディスクリートバーを備え、前記ディスクリートバーが幅方向に離間する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記二次結合パターンが、縦方向に対してある角度で延在するディスクリートバーを備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記二次結合パターンが、前記第一のエネルギー印加装置を横切って幅方向に延在する一連の円形要素を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記材料の第一のウェブを前記材料の第二のウェブに結合した後に、さらなる処理のために前記材料の第一および第二のウェブを維持することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
