Claims (1)
- 船舶用の内燃機関の改造方法であって、
燃焼によってピストンを軸方向に往復作動させるシリンダ及び該ピストンの往復作動によって回転作動するクランク軸を有する内燃機関本体を、標準状態と比較して出力を低下させることにより、減速航行時の燃料消費率を向上させる低速状態に機械的に可逆的に改変し、
タービンを有する過給機を複数設け、
該複数の過給機の内から予め選定された一の過給機に対して、内燃機関本体からの排気ガスの供給の有無を切換えることにより、上記改変による出力調整量を、該過給機一台分に設定し、
全体の出力が変化しないように前記過給機の設置数を増加させることにより、上記出力調整量を小さく設定する一方で、該設置数を減少させることにより、上記出力調整量を大きく設定する
ことを特徴とする船舶用の内燃機関の改造方法。
