Description
少なくともBi、Na、SrおよびTiを含有するペロブスカイト型の結晶構造を含む誘電体組成物であって、
前記誘電体組成物全体の平均Bi濃度に対して、Bi濃度が0.8倍以下である低Bi相を含むことを特徴とする。
走査透過型電気顕微鏡(STEM)により内部電極層が交差する位置で切り出した誘電体層の層断面を観察した。なお、観察視野は5μm×5μm、倍率は3万倍とした。エネルギー分散型X線分光法(EDS)により誘電体層の断面に設定した視野全体においてマッピング分析を行い、Bi元素のX線スペクトルを測定した。得られたX線スペクトルから、視野全体に含まれるBi元素の平均濃度を算出した。次に、Bi元素のマッピング画像について、Bi元素の濃度が前記平均濃度の0.8倍以下である相(低Bi相)と、0.8倍超である相とを区別するように画像処理を行った。なお、低Bi相と気孔(ポア部)とを区別する方法には、特に制限はない。例えば、酸素の有無により区別することができる。そして、画像処理後の画像から、視野全体に占める低Bi相が占める面積割合αを算出した。前記画像処理後の画像において、前記低Bi相を占めるピクセルの個数をカウントし、視野全体の総ピクセル数で割ることで視野全体に対する面積割合αを算出した。結果を表1に示す。
積層セラミックコンデンサ試料に対し、25℃において、デジタルLCRメータ(Hewlett−Packard社,4284A)にて、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの信号を入力し、静電容量を測定した。そして、比誘電率ε1(単位なし)を、測定された静電容量、対向電極面積および層間距離から算出した。本実施例では、10個の積層セラミックコンデンサ試料を用いて算出した平均値を比誘電率ε1とした。結果を表1に示す。
DCバイアス発生装置(GLASSMAN HIGH VOLTAGE社,WX10P90)をデジタルLCRメータ(Hewlett−Packard社,4284A)に接続して、積層セラミックコンデンサ試料に8V/μmのDCバイアスを印加しながら、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの条件から測定された静電容量、対向電極面積および層間距離から算出した(単位なし)。本実施例では、10個の積層セラミックコンデンサ試料を用いて算出した平均値を比誘電率ε2とした。本実施例では比誘電率ε2は800以上を良好とし、1000以上をさらに良好とした。結果を表1に示す。
比誘電率ε1と比誘電率ε2を用い、下の式(1)より算出した。優れたDCバイアス特性を有することは本発明の目的を達成する上で必須ではないが、DCバイアス特性の絶対値は小さい方が好ましい。本実施例では、DCバイアス特性が±30%以内である場合を良好とした。なお、DCバイアス特性が+30%を超えることは現実的ではない。したがって、実質的にはDCバイアス特性の良好範囲に上限はない。

積層セラミックコンデンサ試料に対し、150℃にて、50V/μmの電界下で直流電圧の印加状態に保持し、高温負荷寿命を測定した。本実施例においては、直流電圧の印加開始から絶縁抵抗が一桁落ちるまでの時間を高温負荷寿命と定義した。また、この高温負荷寿命測定は、10個の積層セラミックコンデンサ試料について行い、平均値を算出した。本実施例では、前記平均値が20時間以上を良好とし、30時間以上をより良好とした。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (14)
- 少なくともBi、Na、SrおよびTiを含有するペロブスカイト型の結晶構造を含む誘電体組成物であって、
前記誘電体組成物全体の平均Bi濃度に対して、Bi濃度が0.8倍以下である低Bi相を含み、
前記誘電体組成物の切断面において、前記切断面全体に対する前記低Bi相の面積割合をαとした場合に、0<α≦0.150であることを特徴とする誘電体組成物。 - 前記誘電体組成物におけるSrに対するBiのモル比率をβとした場合に、0.125≦β≦2.000である請求項1に記載の誘電体組成物。
- La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Yb、Ba、Ca、Mg、およびZnの中から選ばれる少なくとも1種以上を含む請求項1または2に記載の誘電体組成物。
- 前記誘電体組成物におけるTiの含有量を100モル部として、前記La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Yb、Ba、Ca、Mg、およびZnの中から選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の含有量が1モル部以上、15モル部以下である請求項3に記載の誘電体組成物。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の誘電体組成物を備える誘電体素子。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の誘電体組成物からなる誘電体層を備える電子部品。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の誘電体組成物からなる誘電体層と内部電極層とを交互に積層されてなる積層部分を有する積層電子部品。
- 請求項7に記載の積層電子部品を備え、
前記内部電極層は、その端面が前記積層電子部品の二つの対向面において交互に露出するように積層されている積層セラミックコンデンサ。 - 前記内部電極層はCuまたはCu合金を含む請求項8に記載の積層セラミックコンデンサ。
- 前記Cu合金は、前記Cu合金を100重量%とする場合に、Cuの含有量が95重量%以上である請求項9に記載の積層セラミックコンデンサ。
- 一対の端子電極が前記積層電子部品の両端部に形成されており、前記内部電極層の露出された端面と導通している請求項8〜10のいずれかに記載の積層セラミックコンデンサ。
- 前記端子電極はCuを含む請求項11に記載の積層セラミックコンデンサ。
- 誘電体層用ペーストおよび内部電極層用ペーストを用いたシート法または印刷法によりグリーンチップを作製する工程と、
前記グリーンチップに脱バインダ処理を施す工程と、
前記グリーンチップを焼成して誘電体組成物である誘電体層と内部電極層を有するコンデンサ素子本体を得る工程と、
前記コンデンサ素子本体に外部電極を印刷または転写し、焼成する工程と、を含み、
前記誘電体層用ペーストは誘電体出発原料と有機ビヒクルの混合物を含む有機塗料であり、または、前記誘電体層用ペーストは誘電体出発原料および水系ビヒクルの混合物を含む水系塗料であり、
前記誘電体出発原料は、酸化ビスマス(Bi2O3)、炭酸ナトリウム(Na2CO3)、炭酸ストロンチウム(SrCO3)、炭酸バリウム(BaCO3)、炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)、炭酸マグネシウム(MgCO3)、酸化亜鉛(ZnO)、水酸化ランタン(La(OH)3)、酸化ネオジウム(Nd2O3)、酸化サマリウム(Sm2O3)、酸化ガドリニウム(Gd2O3)および酸化チタン(TiO2)の粉体から選択され、
焼成された前記誘電体組成物が、少なくともBi、Na、SrおよびTiを含むペロブスカイト型の結晶構造を有する粒子を含み、
前記誘電体組成物が、前記誘電体組成物全体の平均Bi濃度に対して、Bi濃度が0.8倍以下である低Bi相を含み、
前記誘電体組成物の切断面において、前記切断面全体に対する前記低Bi相の面積割合をαとした場合に、0<α≦0.150であるように前記誘電体出発原料が秤量される積層セラミックコンデンサの製造方法。 - 前記内部電極層用ペーストは、
導電材、焼成後に前記導電材となる酸化物、有機金属化合物またはレジネートと、前記有機ビヒクルと、を混練して調製され、
前記導電材は、Au、Pt、Ag、Ag−Pd合金、CuまたはNiであり、
前記外部電極用ペーストは前記内部電極層用ペーストと同様にして調製される請求項13に記載の製造方法。
