Claims (22)
- 気道での患者の呼吸効率を高めるための肺容量減少システムであって、
前記システムが、肺組織に圧縮力を与えるように構成される植込み可能な装置を備え、前記植込み可能な装置が近位端及び遠位端を含み、
前記植込み可能な装置が第1の構成及び第2の構成をさらに有し、前記植込み可能な装置の第2の構成が、前記植込み可能な装置の植込み前の構成又は植込み後の構成に対応し、前記第2の構成が、少なくとも2つの螺旋区域、及び前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の間に配置される遷移区域を備え、
前記植込み可能な装置の近位端が無外傷性であり、かつスタンドオフ近位テールを備え、前記スタンドオフ近位テールが、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の各軸から離れる方に延びる、肺容量減少システム。 - 前記螺旋区域が、異なる数のループ又は完全な螺旋巻き目を有する、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記螺旋区域のうちの遠位螺旋区域が、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記螺旋区域のうちの近位螺旋区域よりも多くのループを備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記螺旋区域のうちの近位螺旋区域が、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記螺旋区域のうちの遠位螺旋区域よりも多くのループを備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記近位螺旋区域が、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに2つよりも少ないループを備える、請求項3に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記遠位螺旋区域が、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに少なくとも1つのループを備える、請求項3に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域が右巻き螺旋区域及び左巻き螺旋区域を備え、前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の間に配置される遷移区域が、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときにスイッチバック遷移区域を備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域のうちの少なくとも1つが、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに円形螺旋区域を備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の全てが、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに円形螺旋区域を備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記植込み可能な装置が、前記植込み可能な装置の一部を覆うジャケットをさらに備え、前記ジャケットが、留置される植込み可能な装置による前記気道への侵食を低減するように構成され、前記ジャケットが、前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域、及び前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の間に配置される遷移区域を覆う、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記ジャケットが前記植込み可能な装置の遠位端を覆う、請求項10に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記植込み可能な装置の遠位端が、前記気道と結合するためのアンカーを含む、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域がそれぞれ第1の軸及び第2の軸を有し、前記植込み可能な装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記第1の軸及び前記第2の軸が異なる、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記植込み可能な装置が、前記植込み可能な装置の一部を覆うジャケットをさらに備え、前記ジャケットが、留置される植込み可能な装置による前記気道への侵食を低減するように構成される、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記ジャケットが、前記植込み可能な装置の遠位端を覆う、請求項14に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記植込み可能な装置の近位端が無外傷性である、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 前記植込み可能な装置がばね要素を備える、請求項1に記載の肺容量減少システム。
- 気道での患者の呼吸効率を高めるための肺容量減少装置であって、
前記装置が近位端及び遠位端を備え、
前記装置が第1の構成及び第2の構成を含み、前記第1の構成が送達構成に対応し、前記第2の構成が植込み前の構成又は植込み後の構成に対応し、
前記装置の第2の構成が、軸を有する第1の螺旋区域を備え、前記第1の螺旋区域が、前記装置の近位端と遠位端との間に配置され、前記近位端が、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記第1の螺旋区域の軸から離れる方に延び、
前記装置の近位端が無外傷性であり、かつスタンドオフ近位テールを備え、前記スタンドオフ近位テールが、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記少なくとも2つの螺旋区域の各軸から離れる方に延びる、肺容量減少装置。 - 前記第2の構成が、軸を有する第2の螺旋区域をさらに備え、前記第2の螺旋区域が前記第1の螺旋区域と結合され、前記第1の螺旋区域及び前記第2の螺旋区域が、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに右巻き螺旋区域及び左巻き螺旋区域を備え、前記近位端が、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記第2の螺旋区域の軸から離れる方に延びる、請求項18に記載の肺容量減少装置。
- より遠位の螺旋区域が、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときにより近位の螺旋区域よりも多くのループを備える、請求項19に記載の肺容量減少装置。
- 前記第2の螺旋区域の軸が、前記装置が前記第2の構成にあるときに前記第1の螺旋区域の軸とは異なる、請求項19に記載の肺容量減少装置。
- 少なくとも前記遠位端及び前記第1の螺旋区域を覆うジャケットをさらに備える、請求項18に記載の肺容量減少装置。
