Description

The present invention is mounted on equipment such as a vending machine, money changer, unmanned parking lot fee machine, etc., and determines the authenticity of inserted bills while compacting and storing genuine bills in the bill storage unit. In particular, the present invention relates to a technology for facilitating maintenance inspection work of a bill validator.

Generally, inside an apparatus main body such as an automatic vending machine or money changer handling bills, or a toll machine of an unmanned parking lot, it is determined whether the inserted bills are genuine or not, and the bills determined to be genuine The bill processing device which was made to store only is mounted.

The bill processing apparatus includes a bill conveyance passage including bill conveyance means for conveying a bill inserted from the deposit port into the inside of the apparatus body, and a bill identification unit including bill identification means for identifying authenticity of the conveyed bill. And a bill storage unit including bill storage means for stacking and storing bills determined to be genuine bills.

Heretofore, various bill processing apparatuses are known, and with regard to the bill identifying portion, a plurality of identification sensors consisting of a magnetic sensor and an optical sensor are disposed at predetermined positions in the bill conveyance passage to designate predetermined positions of the bills. Generally, the physical characteristics of the banknote are detected by scanning the banknotes, and the overall judgment of the banknotes is comprehensively judged based on the detection output of each sensor, and the maintenance inspection operation of the banknote identification unit is facilitated. As possible, there is a technology that allows the bill conveyance passage in which the sensor is disposed to be opened and closed freely.

Further, with regard to the bill storage unit, a bill storage technology for stacking and storing bills one by one from the bill conveyance passage into the bill storage, a technology for storing bills for each denomination by providing a plurality of bill storages, There is a technique for making the bill storage unit detachable from the bill processing apparatus main body so that the bill collection and replenishment operations can be easily performed.

In such a bill processing apparatus, the mounting space of the bill processing apparatus on the side of a mounted machine such as a vending machine, a changer, or a toll machine in an unmanned parking lot is limited, and the number of storable bills can be reduced. In addition, there is a need for a technology for miniaturizing the bill processing apparatus itself without degrading each function, and in particular, the bill processing that handles bills of a plurality of denominations and stores them in separate storages for each denomination. In the apparatus, since the size of the apparatus tends to increase, space saving technology is desired.

At the same time, in the bill identifying portion, when the bill to which dust or dirt is attached is inserted, in order to prevent a drop in the identification level and a mistake in bill identification due to the attachment of dust, dirt or the like to the sensor of the bill identifying means. It is necessary to carry out maintenance and inspection work such as cleaning or replacement regularly.

For example, according to Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-312759), a unit box integrally including a bill identifying means is turned and opened with a pivotally supported point as a fulcrum, and the bill identifying means is detached and attached. A bill processing apparatus is disclosed that enables cleaning of the surface of the sensor and includes a lock member that keeps the bill identification means at the identification recognition position when the unit box is closed, thereby preventing a decrease in the bill identification level. ing.

However, in the bill processing apparatus of Patent Document 1, when the lock of the unit box remains in the middle after the cleaning work is completed, the bill conveyance passage of the pivotally supported portion narrows and the bill is clogged during bill conveyance, or an optical sensor There is a possibility that the optical path of the optical system is shifted, the identification level is lowered, and the identification recognition rate is lowered.

On the other hand, in Patent Document 2 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-22463), the light transmission state is continued using the signal state of the sensor in order to detect the slight opening state of the bill discriminating portion. In some cases, a bill validator is disclosed that determines that the bill validator is more open than the standby position.

However, since the bill identification device of Patent Document 2 detects the standby position of the bill identification means using the state of the signal of the sensor, for example, when the bill identification means is open, the trouble of locking again occurs. Do. In addition, there is a problem that the time required for the cleaning and inspection work becomes long and the operation time of the vending machine and the like is shortened.

By the way, the conventional bill processing apparatus provided with an openable and closable bill recognition unit and a detachable bill storage unit as shown in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 has a deposit port for inserting a bill on the front side. The deposit port is attached to the inside of the door so as to be exposed from the door on the front of the device such as an automatic vending machine, and the bill processing unit is attached to the door. The bill identification unit and the bill storage unit are disposed at the rear end of the apparatus.

Therefore, the bill recognition unit and each storage need to be arranged in parallel in the vertical direction, and there is a problem that the apparatus is enlarged only in the vertical direction. In particular, it is remarkable in the case of the bill processing device which comprises a plurality of storages.

Unexamined-Japanese-Patent No. 2003-22463

Therefore, in view of the above-described circumstances, the present invention is compact in the bill processing apparatus in which the bill conveyance passage provided with the bill identification sensor can be opened and closed and the bill storage unit is detachable, and the arrangement of the bill identification sensor It is an object of the present invention to provide a bill processing apparatus capable of preventing the forgetting of closing the bill conveyance passage.

In order to solve the problems described above, in the bill processing apparatus of the present invention, a bill depositing port disposed on the front of the apparatus, a bill storage unit detachably mounted on the apparatus main body to align, stack, and store bills; A bill transport passage arranged with a bill identification sensor for guiding a bill inserted from the bill insertion slot to the bill storage unit and discriminating a authenticity and type of the bill upstream of the bill storage unit; The bill storage unit is disposed behind the bill identification unit, and the bill conveyance passage on which the bill identification sensor is disposed is further provided with an opening / closing unit capable of opening / closing the bill conveyance passage. The bill conveyance passage is opened backward.

Furthermore, the bill conveyance passage in which the bill identification sensor is arranged and the bill conveyance passage provided in the bill storage unit are arranged in parallel so that the bill conveyance direction is substantially vertical, and the bill storage unit A bill storage for storing stacked bills in an aligned manner; a stack guide for separating a longitudinal side edge of a bill stored in the bill storage and a longitudinal side edge of a bill passing through the bill transport passage; Reciprocation means for reciprocating the back and forth direction, a holding plate which abuts on the front face of the bill in the stack guide to restrict the forward movement of the bill in the stack guide, and the stack guide is provided on the stack guide It is also possible to provide a biasing portion that biases the opening / closing portion forward by abutting on the opening / closing portion when the guide reciprocates.

Thus, the bill processing apparatus of the present invention enables downsizing of the apparatus by arranging the bill storage unit at the rear of the bill recognition unit, and the bill recognition unit is provided in a state where the bill storage unit is removed. By arranging the opening and closing unit for opening and closing the bill conveyance passage to open backward, the bill storage unit can not be attached unless the opening and closing unit is closed after the maintenance inspection work of the bill identifying unit is completed. It is possible to prevent the closure of the opening and closing part at the time.

Furthermore, when the stack guide provided in the bill storage unit reciprocates, the switch unit may not be completely closed by providing the stack guide with the urging unit that abuts the opening / closing unit of the bill identifying unit. Also in the initial operation, since the biasing unit can bias the opening and closing unit so as to completely close the opening and closing unit, the operator does not have to close the opening and closing unit again, and the time required for the operation can be shortened.

Hereinafter, a bill processing apparatus 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. In the following description, the configuration of the bill processing apparatus 1 will be described first, and then the initial operation of the bill storage unit 6 will be described.

The present invention can be applied to a bill processing apparatus having a plurality of bill storage units for each denomination, a bill processing apparatus having a circulating bill return mechanism for returning the bills stored in the bill storage unit one by one, etc. However, the banknote handling apparatus 1 in the present embodiment includes only one banknote storage unit 6 and does not include the circulating banknote return mechanism. Further, in each drawing, the side on which the deposit port 21 for inserting a bill is disposed is defined as the front.

FIG. 1 is a central vertical cross-sectional view of the bill processing apparatus 1 and shows the attachment and detachment of the bill storage unit 6 and the opening and closing of the opening / closing unit 4 of the bill identification unit 3. FIG. It is a center longitudinal cross-sectional view of the banknote processing apparatus 1 in a possible state (standby state), and FIG.2 (b) is a right view of the opening / closing part 4 in a banknote acceptance state (standby state).

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, in the bill processing apparatus 1, the bill conveyance passage 2 for conveying the bill is directed backward (right side in the figure) with the deposit port 21 disposed on the front side of the apparatus body as an upstream end. Immediately after being passed downward and extending vertically downward and passing through the bill validator 3 which identifies the authenticity and denomination of the bill, the bill is again bent backward and further substantially centered in the depth direction The storage standby position in the bill storage unit 6 which is bent upward at the part and extended vertically upward and stores the bills in the vertical posture (region surrounded by the recessed grooves 65 of a pair of stack guides 64 described later ) As a downstream end.

In the vicinity of the deposit port 21 at the upstream end of the bill transport passage 2, an inlet sensor (not shown) for detecting a bill inserted from the deposit port 21 is disposed, and based on the detection output of the inlet sensor The bill conveyance means for conveying the bill to the downstream of the bill conveyance passage 2 is driven.

At each place of the bill conveyance passage 2, bill conveyance means (not shown) for conveying the bill downstream is provided, and this bill conveyance means is driven by a conveyance motor and is between the drive pulley and some driven pulleys. The banknotes are held between the conveyor belt suspended by the conveyor belt and a plurality of driven rollers in pressure contact with the conveyor belt to convey the banknotes in the banknote conveyance path 2. In addition, although the example which conveys a banknote by a conveyance belt is demonstrated in a present Example, a banknote may be conveyed by a conveyance roller.

In the present embodiment, when returning a bill, it is assumed that the bill conveyance means is reversed to reverse feed the inside of the bill conveyance passage 2 and return from the deposit port 21; for example, bill storage The bill conveyance passage 2 may be extended above the part 6 and a return port may be provided at the downstream end thereof separately from the deposit port 21 so that the bill can be conveyed only in a single direction.

On both wall surfaces of the front wall surface 31 and the rear wall surface 41 of the bill conveyance passage 2 in the bill identification unit 3, a plurality of identification sensors composed of magnetic sensors and light sensors (not shown) are arranged. The physical characteristics of the bill are detected by scanning a predetermined position of the bill passing through 2, and the authenticity and denomination of the bill are comprehensively judged based on the detection output. In the present embodiment, an example is described in which identification sensors are disposed on both the front wall 31 and the rear wall 41. However, any one of the front wall 31 and the rear wall 41 may be formed using a reflective optical sensor or the like. The identification sensor may be disposed only on the wall surface.

The back wall surface 41 is formed on the front of the opening / closing unit 4 that covers the bill conveyance passage 2 in the bill identifying unit 3 from the rear side so as to be openable / closable. The opening / closing unit 4 is via the opening / closing shaft 42 formed in the lower part thereof. (1) It is rotatably supported relative to the main body. The rear of the opening and closing part 4 is in communication with the bill storage part 6, and in a state where the bill storage part 6 is removed, it is expanded rearward to allow the front wall surface 31 and the rear wall surface 41 to be exposed.

The banknote storage unit 6 can not be attached unless the opening / closing unit 4 is closed, and it is possible to prevent the closing of the opening / closing unit 4 when the banknote storage unit 6 is attached. It should be noted that a slight gap may be provided at the rear of the opening / closing part 4 to prevent direct contact with the bill storage part 6 since there is a possibility that the identification level may be lowered if an external force is constantly applied to the bill identification part 3 It is preferable to do.

Fixing the closed opening / closing part 4 to the bill processing apparatus 1 main body is performed by a lock mechanism consisting of a lock member 5 disposed at the upper part of the opening / closing part 4 and a lock receiving part 32 provided in the bill processing apparatus 1 main body . The lock member 5 includes a lock lever 51, a pivot shaft 52, a lock convex portion 53, and an elastic arm portion 54, and is integrally formed of resin. It can be operated from the rear of the opening / closing part 4 by a lock lever 51 disposed at the upper part of the center.

The lock lever 51 is normally in a horizontal posture, and is arranged to pivot about a pivot shaft 52 disposed on the front of the upper portion of the opening / closing portion 4 by biasing the rear end downward. Further, on both sides toward the upper rear of the opening and closing part 4, there is formed a cylindrical lock convex portion 53 which is convexly formed toward the left and right outside, and interlocked with the swing of the lock lever 51, the lock convex portion 53 swings around a pivot shaft 52.

Further, below the rotary shaft 52 on both sides of the opening / closing part 4, a rod-like elastic arm 54 extending vertically downward and having elasticity is formed. The lower end of the elastic arm portion 54 is fixed to the fixing portion 43 provided on both side surfaces of the opening and closing portion 4, and when the lock lever 51 is biased downward, the elastic arm portion 54 curves forward, The lock lever 51 is caused to return upward by the return force.

On the other hand, in a state in which the opening / closing part 4 is closed, a lock receiving part 32 having a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section is formed at a position opposite to the left and right of the lock convex part 53 in the bill processing device 1 main body. In a state in which the opening / closing portion 4 is closed and the lock lever 51 is not biased, the lock convex portion 53 is engaged in the lock receiving portion 32 to be in a locked state. Then, when the lock lever 51 is biased downward, the lock convex portion 53 is disengaged from the lock receiving portion 32 and the lock is released, and the opening / closing portion 4 can be tilted backward. At this time, the lock convex portion 53 penetrates below the rear wall of the lock receiving portion 32.

Further, a slope 33 is formed on the rear surface of the lock receiving portion 32, and when closing the opening / closing portion 4 without urging the lock lever 51 downward, the lock convex portion 53 in contact with the slope 33 is guided downward. Thus, the lock convex portion 53 can be penetrated below the rear wall of the lock receiving portion 32 (see FIGS. 5B and 6B). At this time, interlocking with the lock convex portion 53, the lock lever 51 swings downward, and the elastic arm portion 54 bends forward, and the lock convex portion 53 is attached upward by the elastic return force of the elastic arm portion 54. Since it is biased, after passing through the rear wall of the lock receiving portion 32, it is engaged in the lock receiving portion 32, and the opening / closing portion 4 is locked to the apparatus main body.

In addition, it is preferable that the slope 33 of the lock receiving portion 32 be provided at an inclination angle of 45 degrees or more with respect to the vertical surface so that the lock convex portion 53 can be easily inserted. Further, in each of the drawings, the lock convex portion 53, the elastic arm portion 54, the fixing portion 43, and the lock receiving portion 32 are provided symmetrically in the left direction not shown.

The bill storage unit 6 is disposed at a position downstream of the bill identification unit 3 and in which the bill conveyance passage 2 is vertically provided, and the bill processing unit 1 is disposed in a device (not shown). It is mounted so as to be removable from the rear in the horizontal direction with respect to the apparatus main body. Note that the upper side of the bill storage unit 6 main body is open so that collection of stored bills can be performed.

The inside of the circulation bill storage unit 6 is roughly divided into a bill storage 61 arranged at the rear of the bill transport passage 2 and a bill storage mechanism arranged at the front. The banknotes at the opposing position (storage standby position) are configured to be stored one by one in the banknote storage 61 by the banknote storage mechanism.

The bill storage 61 is a substantially rectangular plate disposed in parallel to the bills passing through the bill conveyance passage 2 and has a stack plate 62 for aligning and loading the circulation bills M on the front, and the circulation bill storage portion 6 The main body and the stack plate 62 are coupled to each other to provide compression springs 63a and 63b for always urging the stack plate 62 forward.

The bill storage mechanism includes a pair of stack guides 64 each having a pair of recessed grooves (slits) 65 for guiding the longitudinal side edge of the bill (provided to be symmetrical in the rightward direction not shown), the bill A holding plate 67 for restricting the forward movement of the left and right central portions, a pair of reciprocating means (not shown) for moving the stack guide 71 back and forth by connecting the stack guide 64 and the bill storage portion 6 main body; A drive means (not shown) for driving is provided.

The stack guide 64 is supported so as to be slidable back and forth with respect to the main body of the circulating bill storage portion 6 while maintaining its posture, and at the time of initial operation and bill storage when the bill processing device 1 is powered on. Sometimes, one reciprocating linear movement is made in the back and forth direction by reciprocating means (not shown).

In the standby state, the recessed grooves 65 of the stack guide 64 form the front and rear surfaces and both side edges of the bill conveyance passage 2 on both sides. The conveyance position (storage standby position) of the deposited banknotes and the stored banknotes M have a fixed gap by the stack guide 64 so that the stored banknotes M do not hinder the transportation of the banknotes.

That is, the stack guide 64 has a function of preventing the stored bills M stored in the bill storage 61 from returning to the side of the bill conveyance passage 2 and prevents the intrusion of the bills in the bill conveyance passage 2 into the bill storage 61 A function and a function as a wall for restricting the passage width of the longitudinal side edge of the bill in the bill conveyance passage 2 are obtained. In addition, the stack guide 64 is configured to be movable only in the front-rear direction by restricting the movement in the left-right direction and the up-down direction.

Further, an urging portion 66 is formed on the front side of the stack guide 64 to abut the rear surface of the opening / closing portion 4 when the stack guide 64 is moved most forward, so that the opening / closing portion 4 is completely (See FIG. 3), but when the stack guide 64 makes one reciprocation during the initial operation, the biasing portion 66 biases the opening / closing portion 4 forward so that it is completely blocked. ing.

The shape of the stack guide 64 may be any shape as long as it has the above-described functions. For example, the wall separating the bill conveyance passage 2 and the bill storage 61 and the longitudinal direction of the bill The wall which regulates the passage width of the side edge can be provided integrally or separately.

The holding plate 67 has a back wall on substantially the same plane as the front side wall of the recessed groove 65 in the standby state, and is fixed to the main body of the bill storage portion 6 so as to be interposed between the left and right stack guides 64. . The holding plate 67 abuts against the front surface of the bill in the recessed groove 65 when the stack guide 64 moves forward during the bill storage operation, and regulates the forward movement of the bill. Then, both side edges of the bill come out of the recessed groove 65, and the bill enters behind the stack guide 64 so that the bill is stored on the stack plate 62 in the bill storage 61.

As described above, the stack guide 64 is reverse to the bill storage 61 while the holding plate 67 regulates the forward movement of the bills instead of extruding the bills in the recessed groove 65 in the direction of the bill storage 61. It is made to move in the direction so as to remove both side edges of the bill from the recessed groove 65 so that the effective capacity in the bill storage 61 is not reduced.

The prior art can be applied to the entrance sensor, magnetic sensor, light sensor, each bill conveyance means, reciprocation means and drive means in the bill processing apparatus of the present invention, and it is not a part according to the present invention. Detailed description shall be omitted.

In the bill processing apparatus 1 configured as described above, when the bill storage unit 6 is attached to the bill processing apparatus 1 main body without completely closing the opening / closing unit 4 of the bill identification unit 3, or when the power is turned on. The initial operation will be described. Note that, as described above, the present invention is also applicable to a bill processing apparatus provided with a circulating bill return mechanism, so that an example of one in which a bill M for tag is stored in the bill storage 61 is used. Explain.

When the bill storage unit 6 is mounted on the bill processing apparatus 1 main body, the bill processing apparatus 1 reciprocates the stack guide 64 once as an initial operation when the mounting of the bill storage unit 6 is detected by a sensor (not shown). Moreover, the banknote processing apparatus 1 performs this initial operation also when the power is turned on.

FIGS. 3 to 6 show the maximum movement of the stack guide 64 when the urging portion 66 is in contact with the opening / closing portion 4 immediately after the bill storage portion 6 is attached, or when the urging portion 66 is pressed into the opening / closing portion 4. The time of reaching the position is shown, and in each figure, (a) is a central longitudinal cross-sectional view of the banknote handling apparatus 1, and (b) is a right side view of the opening / closing unit 4.

As shown in FIG. 3, when the bill storage unit 6 is attached to the bill processing apparatus 1 main body or the bill processing apparatus 1 is powered on, a control unit (not shown) issues an instruction to perform an initial operation. Then, a reciprocation means (not shown) is driven via a driving means (not shown) of the bill storage mechanism, and the stack guide 64 starts moving forward.

As shown in FIG. 4, before the stack guide 64 reaches the movable front end, the tip end of the biasing portion 66 abuts on the rear surface of the opening / closing portion 4. At this time, the stack guide 64 moves forward, and the stored bills M in the bill storage 61 move forward by the biasing force of the compression springs 63a and 63b while being pinched by the rear surface of the stack guide 64 and the stack plate 62. . When the front surface of the stored banknotes M reaches the holding plate 67, the forward movement of the stored banknotes M is restricted by the holding plate 67, and only the stack guide 64 continues to move forward.

As shown in FIG. 5, when the stack guide 64 continues to move forward and the tip end of the biasing portion 66 biases the upper portion of the open / close portion 4 forward, the open / close portion 4 rotates in the closing direction. Then, the lock convex portion 53 abuts on the slope 33 of the lock receiving portion 32, and when the stack guide 64 is further pressed by the forward movement, the lock convex portion 53 is guided by the slope 33 and moves downward. At this time, the lock convex portion 53 swings downward about the rotation shaft 52, and the elastic arm portion 54 is bent forward to generate an elastic return force.

As shown in FIG. 6, by the time the stack guide 64 reaches the maximum movement position, the lock convex portion 53 passes under the rear wall of the lock receiving portion 32, and the opening / closing portion 4 is completely closed. Further, the lock convex portion 53 is returned upward by the elastic return force of the elastic arm portion 54, and is engaged in the lock receiving portion 33 to be in a locked state.

After that, the stack guide 64 moves rearward, returns to the storage standby position, and is in the bill receivable state (standby state) shown in FIG.

Here, since the opening and closing part 4 is always urged by a driven roller (not shown), when the urging part 66 is separated from the opening and closing part 4, the lock convex part 53 is pushed back in the expanding direction of the opening and closing part 4 The lock receiver 32 is in constant contact with the surface opposite to the surface on which the slope 33 is provided, and the posture of the open / close unit 4 becomes constant.

In the bill processing apparatus 1, even when the open / close unit 4 is completely closed, when the stack guide 64 reciprocates, the urging unit 66 abuts on the open / close unit 4 and the open / close unit Bias the 4 in the closing direction. Even when the stack guide 64 reciprocates in the bill storing operation, the opening / closing unit 4 is biased by the biasing unit 66 and the bill discriminating unit 3 receives an external force, but when the bill passes through the bill discriminating unit 3 Since the bill storage operation is not performed, the identification level is not affected.

As described above, even when the opening / closing unit 4 is not completely closed, the biasing unit 66 of the stack guide 64 is brought into contact with the opening / closing unit 4 of the bill discriminating unit 3 when moving to the maximum movement position in the initial operation. By doing this, the biasing portion 66 of the stack guide 64 can bias the opening / closing portion 4 to completely close it. Therefore, when the opening and closing unit 4 is not completely closed, it is not necessary for the operator to remove the bill storage unit 6 again and close the opening and closing unit 4, and the time required for the operation can be shortened.

Note that the above-described embodiment merely shows a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment itself.
