Description
外部充電に先立ち、運転者等のユーザーにより、電動車両のイグニッション−スイッチ(図示せず)がオフ操作される。これに応じてHV−ECU44は、システムメインリレーSMRを接続状態から遮断状態に切り替える。またイグニッション−スイッチのオフ操作に伴い、制御部24の各ECUは休止状態となる。なお、休止(スリープ)状態とは、不揮発性メモリや時計、後述する外部充電タイマー58やタイマースイッチ62等の、常時電力供給を必要とする素子や回路以外への電力供給が遮断された状態を指す。また、休止期間は休止状態である期間を指し、当該期間はサブバッテリ22から電力が供給される。
本実施形態に係るバッテリ用充電システムは、メインバッテリ10、バッテリ温度センサ(温度取得部)60、ヒータ28、外部充電タイマー58、タイマースイッチ62、車内ディスプレイ52、テレマティクストランシーバ54、HV−ECU44、電池ECU48、充電ECU50、及びメーターECU56を含んで構成される。HV−ECU44、電池ECU48、充電ECU50、及びメーターECU56は協働して充電制御部64を構成する。
図2には、タイマー充電設定期間に実行される、メインバッテリ10の昇温モードが例示されている。本実施形態では、バッテリ温度Tbに応じて第1昇温モードと第2昇温モードの2種類の昇温モードが設定されている。両昇温モードとも、充電制御部64の起動時刻におけるバッテリ温度Tbが所定の温度以下であるときに、ヒータ28を作動させて、メインバッテリ10を昇温させる。
図3〜図5には、タイマー充電設定期間におけるメインバッテリ10の昇温フローが例示されている。当該フローは充電制御部64によって実行される。なお、当該昇温フローを実行させるためのプログラムは、例えば充電ECU50の記憶部(図示せず)に記憶されている。
図6には、本実施形態に係るメインバッテリ昇温フローを実施した際のタイムチャートが例示されている。縦軸はバッテリ温度Tbを示し、横軸は時間(日)が示されている。タイマー充電設定期間は31日とした。またこの例では第1実行可能期間D1を7日、第2実行可能期間D2を31日に設定している。さらにこの例では第1待機時間C1を12時間、第2待機時間C2を6時間、第3待機時間C3を12時間に設定している。
上述の実施形態では、充電制御部64の起動時刻におけるバッテリ温度Tbとして、同時刻におけるバッテリ温度センサ60の測定値を用いたが、この形態に限らない。例えば同時刻におけるバッテリ温度Tbの推定値を算出してもよい。
Claims (3)
- 外部電源の充電プラグが接続される充電コネクタを備え、前記外部電源によりバッテリを充電する外部充電が可能な電動車両のバッテリ充電システムであって、
前記外部充電を制御する充電制御部と、
ユーザーの操作により外部充電開始時刻が設定可能である、外部充電タイマーと、
バッテリ温度を取得する温度取得部と、
前記バッテリを昇温させるヒータと、
を備え、
前記充電制御部は、
前記充電プラグが前記充電コネクタに接続されるプラグイン時に前記外部充電タイマーに前記外部充電開始時刻が設定されている場合には、当該外部充電開始時刻前の外部充電が待機設定されるとともに休止状態に移行し、
前記休止状態に移行した休止期間開始時刻から前記外部充電開始時刻までのタイマー充電設定期間に間欠的に起動するとともに、起動時における前記バッテリ温度が所定の温度以下であるときに、前記ヒータを作動させて前記バッテリを昇温させる昇温モードを実行可能であり、
さらに前記充電制御部は、前記昇温モードの実行時に、前記外部充電の待機設定を解除するとともに、前記外部充電を行う昇温時充電モードを実行し、
前記昇温時充電モードが実行された際に、前記ユーザーに対して通知を行う通知器を備えることを特徴とする、電動車両のバッテリ充電システム。 - 請求項1に記載の電動車両のバッテリ充電システムであって、
前記タイマー充電設定期間中の起動時刻を規定するとともに、前記起動時刻に前記充電制御部を起動させるタイマースイッチを備え、
前記充電制御部は、前記昇温モードとして、
前記起動時刻に前記バッテリ温度が第1昇温要求温度以下かつ前記第1昇温要求温度より低い第2昇温要求温度より大となる場合に、前記ヒータを作動させて前記バッテリの昇温を開始し、前記バッテリが第1昇温目標温度まで昇温したら前記起動時刻を再設定し、その後、再度前記休止状態に移行する、第1昇温モードと、
前記起動時刻に前記バッテリ温度が前記第2昇温要求温度以下である場合に、前記ヒータを作動させて前記バッテリの昇温を開始し、前記バッテリが、前記第1昇温要求温度から前記第1昇温目標温度までの昇温幅よりも前記第2昇温要求温度からの昇温幅の小さい第2昇温目標温度まで昇温したら前記起動時刻を再設定し、その後、再度前記休止状態に移行する、第2昇温モードと、
を実行可能であって、
前記第1昇温モードは、最初の前記休止期間開始時刻から第1期間内に実行可能に設定され、
前記第2昇温モードは、最初の前記休止期間開始時刻から、前記第1期間よりも長い第2期間内に実行可能に設定される、
ことを特徴とする、電動車両のバッテリ充電システム。 - 請求項2に記載の、電動車両のバッテリ充電システムであって、
前記充電制御部は、
前記第1昇温モード実行時に、前記バッテリ温度が前記第1昇温目標温度に到達した時刻から第1待機時間を経過した時刻を前記起動時刻として再設定し、
前記第2昇温モード実行時に、前記バッテリ温度が前記第2昇温目標温度に到達した時刻から前記第1待機時間よりも短い第2待機時間を経過した時刻を前記起動時刻として再設定する、
ことを特徴とする、電動車両のバッテリ充電システム。
