Description
本願は、「培養培地内への物質の制御放出機構を有する血液培養ボトル」の標題で2013年10月25日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/895,760号および「培養培地内への物質の制御放出機構を有する血液培養ボトル」の標題で2014年8月1日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/032,329号のそれぞれの出願日の利得を主張し、これらの開示内容は、参照することによって、ここに含まれるものとする。
Claims (8)
- 試薬の制御混合のための装置であって、
生物学的試料を受け入れるための本体部分を有する容器であって、前記本体部分は、前記生物学的試料を受け入れる前に培養培地を含み、かつ、前記培養培地の状態または前記容器内のヘッド空間ガスを監視するための1つまたは複数のセンサを備えた、容器と、
少なくとも一種の試薬を受け入れるために前記容器内に挿入される容器インサートであって、前記少なくとも1種の試薬は、吸着樹脂、培養培地、溶解培地、溶解試薬、およびその組合せからなる群から選択されており、前記溶解培地は、好気性微生物、嫌気性微生物、抗酸菌、菌類、または酵母から選択された群の1つを増殖させるように適合され、かつ、液体形態または凍結乾燥形態にある、容器インサートと、
前記容器の前記本体部分内の前記培養培地から前記容器インサート内の前記少なくとも一種の試薬を分離する少なくとも1つの密封要素と、
前記容器を密封するために前記容器に取り付けられたキャップ要素と、
前記容器インサートの内部に近位端と遠位端を有する先細ロッドであって、自動的または手動的に力が付加されることで、前記遠位端が前記密封要素を突刺し、それにより、前記密封要素が破壊され、前記容器インサートの内容物が前記容器の前記本体部分内に放出されるように構成されている、先細ロッドと、
を備える、装置。 - 前記容器は、前記本体部分から延出したネック部分を有し、前記ネック部分は、前記本体部分の直径よりも小さい直径を有しており、前記容器インサートは、管状に形成され、かつ、前記キャップ要素によって、前記容器の前記ネック部分内に固定されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記キャップ要素は、前記容器の前記ネック部分に螺合されており、前記キャップ要素を前記ネック部分の下方に向けて捩ることにより、前記先細ロッドが前進して前記容器インサートを突刺し、前記容器インサートの内容物を前記容器の前記本体部分内に放出させるように構成されている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記容器インサートは、複数の密封チャンバを備えており、各密封チャンバは、前記少なくとも一種の試薬を受け入れるようになっており、前記容器インサートへの前記力の付加によって、各チャンバの内容物を前記容器の前記本体部分内に放出させるように構成されており、前記力は、音響力、磁気力、機械力、熱力、加圧力、時間放出力、およびその組合せからなる群から選択された外力である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生物学的試料は、無菌体液であり、前記無菌体液は、試料送達装置から導かれるようになっており、前記試料送達装置は、ニードル内に前記試料送達装置からの試料を通流させるカニューレを備えており、前記ニードルは、前記装置内に前進するとき、前記力を付加するように構成されている、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記密封要素は、箔、ガラス、成形ポリマー、およびその組合せからなる群から選択された少なくとも一種の薄材料から作製されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記密封要素は、炭素またはガラスまたは少なくとも一種の試薬が充填された密封内部空洞を有する薄膜である、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 2種類の試薬を生物学的試料と混合する方法であって、
請求項1〜7の何れか一項に記載の装置を準備するステップであって、前記容器の前記本体部分は、前記培養培地を含み、前記先細ロッドが前記容器インサートの内部に配設され、前記容器インサートは、前記密封要素により前記容器の前記本体部分内の前記培養培地から分離された前記少なくとも1種の試薬を含み、前記容器が前記キャップ要素で密封されている、ステップと、
前記キャップ要素を通して、前記生物学的試料を前記容器内に導入するステップと、
を含み、
前記生物学的試料の前記導入によって、前記容器インサート内部の前記先細ロッドに前記力を付加し、前記先細ロッドの前記遠位端で前記密封要素を突刺し、前記密封要素の一部を破裂させ、前記容器インサートの内容物を前記本体部分内に放出させる、方法。
