Description
本発明の第1の実施例による電池パック100は、一つ以上の電池セル110と、電池セル110を収容する電池ケース120と、を含む。
本発明の第2の実施例による電池パック100は、図3に図示されているように、一つ以上の電池セル110と、電池セル110を収容する電池ケース120と、を含み、電池ケース120は、電池セル110を収容する内側ケース121と、内側ケース121の外側に設けられる外側ケース122と、内側および外側ケース121、122の間に設けられ、内側および外側ケース121、122を冷却することで生じる冷気により電池セル110を間接冷却する冷却部材123と、を含む。

Claims (8)
- 電池セルと、
前記電池セルを収容する電池ケースと、を含み、
前記電池ケースは、前記電池セルを収容する内側ケースと、前記内側ケースの外側に設けられる外側ケースと、前記内側ケースおよび外側ケースの間に設けられ、前記内側ケースおよび外側ケースを冷却することで生じる冷気により前記電池セルを間接冷却する冷却部材と、を含み、
前記外側ケースは、前記内側ケースの外周面を包む形態に設けられ、
前記冷却部材は、前記内側ケースと前記外側ケースとの間の密閉された空間に貯蔵される冷却液からなり、
前記電池ケースは、前記電池セルの温度が設定温度以上に上昇すると、前記冷却部材が前記内側ケースの内部に流入されるように前記内側ケースを切開する切開部材をさらに含み、
前記内側ケースの内部に流入された前記冷却部材は、前記電池セルに接触して前記電池セルを直接冷却し、
前記切開部材は、前記内側ケースの表面に設けられる切開部と、前記内側ケースと前記外側ケースとの間に設けられ、前記電池セルから伝わる高温の熱により膨張することで前記切開部を加圧して切開させる膨張物質と、を含み、
前記切開部は、切開溝から形成され、両先端が互いに連結されるリング状を有し、前記膨張物質は、リング状の前記切開部の中央を加圧して前記切開部を切開させることを特徴とする、電池パック。 - 前記冷却部材は、前記内側ケースおよび前記外側ケースよりも小さい厚さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷却部材の厚さは、1nm〜1mmであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷却部材は、相変化物質(PCM:phase change material)からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記相変化物質は、水和物形態の無機物、パラフィン系炭化水素および有機酸からなる群から選択されるいずれか一つまたは2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の電池パック。
- 前記膨張物質は、形状記憶合金(shape‐memory alloy)であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記膨張物質の両端部は、前記内側ケースと前記外側ケースにそれぞれ接着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記切開部材は、前記冷却部材が貯蔵された前記電池ケースの壁面全体に少なくとも一つ以上設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
