Description
本願は、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる、2012年10月11日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/712,493号の優先権を主張するものである。
ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース中のメトキシル%およびヒドロキシプロポキシル%の決定は、米国薬局方(USP32)に従って行われる。得られた値は、メトキシル%およびヒドロキシプロポキシル%である。これらは、その後、メチル置換基についての置換度(DS)およびヒドロキシプロピル置換基についてのモル置換(MS)に変換される。変換では、塩の残留量が考慮に入れられている。
セルロースエーテルの水性溶液の粘度を、Thermo Haakeによって供給されるViscotester VT550回転粘度計を用いて20℃で測定した。別途記載がない限り、粘度計の一定せん断速度は、MV2ロータおよび粘度調節ジャケットを具備したMV測定用カップを用いて、2.55秒−1であった。
セルロースエーテルの粒度分布を、篩の特殊なセットを具備する円形の横形振動ふるい分け機ISO3310、Part1によって測定した。50グラム(g)のセルロースエーテルを、そのメッシュサイズが必要な粒径に相当する篩のセットを用いてふるい分けした。ふるい分級物を秤量し、それに応じて百分率粒度分布が計算される。したがって、粉塵含量は、ふるい分け後の63ミクロンよりも小さい分級である。
セルロースエーテルで完全に満たされた既知の容積のビーカーの内容物を秤量することによって、セルロースエーテルの非タップのバルク密度を決定した。得られた値は、3つの測定値の平均値である。
セルロースエーテルの粘度構築を、400の毎分回転数(rpm)で、30分間、経時的にトルクを分析することによって測定した(Thermo HaakeからのViscotester VT550回転粘度計を用いて)。95%の粘度構築までの時間は、最終トルクの95%が得られる分での時間として定義された。
本発明による例示的な水性分散性メチルセルロースおよびヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロースを、次の通りに生成する。出発材料(原料MCまたはHPMC)を、約3000rpmの流速で運転するリングレイヤーミキサー(CORIMIX CM 20)に連続的に送り込む。あるいは、許容可能な滞留時間は、先端速度またはフルード数を調節することによって達成することができる。水溶液中2.5%のCMCを、ミキサー内で生成物にスプレーする。旧式のシステムはジャケットを通じての水の注入を使用するが、新規システムは、高速で回転する駆動軸を通してスプレーする。ミキサーに残る湿った凝集物が約25〜30%の水分含量を有するように、十分な溶液を添加する。その後、生成物が52〜53℃の温度に到達するまで、得られた凝集物を流動床乾燥機(Huettlin Mycrolab)内で、50〜120℃、好ましくは70℃の空気入口温度で乾燥させる。条件の概要を表1に示す。
本発明の代替プロセスによる例示的な水性分散性メチルセルロースおよびヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロースを、次の通りに生成する。出発材料は実施例1と同様であるが、流動床処理装置内においてバッチ処理で製造される。材料を通常通り流動化した後に、水溶液中2.5%のCMCを、流動化材料にノズルを通して上面スプレーする。生成物の温度は約35℃であるのに対し、スプレー中の空気入口温度を約50℃で一定に保持する。添加溶液/(添加溶液およびMCまたはHPMCの和)の比が0.25または0.3である場合、溶液の添加を中止する。その後、生成物が約52〜54℃の温度を有するまで、得られた凝集物を、70℃の空気入口温度にて流動床乾燥機(Huettlin Mycrolab)内で乾燥させる。条件の概要を表2に示す。
実施例1および2のプロトコルに従って、バッチ1〜10を作成し、表3に示す結果で特徴付けされる。
例示的および比較の透明な顔面用洗浄組成物を、表4に重量%で列記する。
例示的および比較の抗縮れ髪スムージングシャンプー組成物を、重量%で表5に列記する。
Claims (5)
- スキンケア洗浄組成物および毛髪用洗浄剤から選択されるパーソナルケア組成物であって、
界面活性剤と、
凝集セルロース誘導体であって、但し、結合剤としての十分な量のカルボキシメチルセルロースで凝集されている、凝集セルロース誘導体と、を原料として含み、
前記セルロース誘導体が、第四級アミンで置換されたヒドロキシエチルセルロースであり、並びに前記カルボキシメチルセルロースの量が、0.02重量パーセントであり、
但し、グリオキサールを実質的に含まない、パーソナルケア組成物。 - 前記セルロース誘導体が、20分以下の90%粘度までの時間を有する、請求項1に記載のパーソナルケア組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤が、ラウレス硫酸ナトリウムとココアンホジ酢酸二ナトリウムとの混合物である、請求項1または2に記載のパーソナルケア組成物。
- ラウレス硫酸ナトリウムのココアンホジ酢酸二ナトリウムに対する比が、6:1である、請求項3に記載のパーソナルケア組成物。
- グリオキサールを実質的に含まないパーソナルケア組成物を提供するための方法であって、
凝集セルロース誘導体であって、但し、結合剤としての十分な量のカルボキシメチルセルロースで凝集されている、凝集セルロース誘導体であり、かつ前記セルロース誘導体が、第四級アミンで置換されたヒドロキシエチルセルロースであり、並びに前記カルボキシメチルセルロースの量が、0.02重量パーセントである凝集セルロース誘導体を、グリオキサール化されたいずれかのセルロース誘導体の代わりに前記パーソナルケア組成物に組み込むことを含む、方法。
