Description
本発明の主たる目的は、電池の搭載の自由度が高い、電池を搭載した移動体を提供することである。
図1は、実施の形態1に従った、第一の電池を搭載した移動体の断面図である。二次電池である角形の電池100は、移動体150の搭載面151に搭載されている。矢印「UP」で示す方向が鉛直上向き方向である。
図3は、反転板が反転した後の状態における図2の電池の断面図である。図4は、図3中のIVで囲んだ部分を拡大して示す断面図である。図3および図4を参照して、外装体10の内部に設けられた密閉空間55の圧力が急激に上昇すると、外装体10内の気体によって正極集電体53Pの薄肉部分52が押圧される。薄肉部分52の溝54の部分が破断して、反転板41が正極集電体53Pから外れる。反転板41は、正極集電体53Pに対して、電気的に接続していない状態になる。このような電流遮断装置40Pの動作により、電池要素1Bと正極端子33Pとの間の電流の流れが遮断される。
図5は、比較例に従った、第一の電池を搭載した移動体の断面図である。図6は、図5に示す電池においてVIで囲んだ部分を拡大して示す断面図である。図7は、反転板が反転した後の状態における図6の電池の断面図である。図8は、図7中のVIIIで囲んだ部分を拡大して示す断面図である。
図9は、実施の形態2に従った、斜視図である。図9で示すように、実施の形態2では、複数の電池100が組電池100aを構成している。組電池100aにおいて正極端子33Pのみに電流遮断装置40P(図9では示さず)が配置されている。各々の電池100において、図1で示すように電解液2の液面よりも鉛直上側に電流遮断装置40Pが配置されている。
図10は、実施の形態3に従った、斜視図である。図10で示すように、実施の形態3では、複数の電池100と電池200が組電池100aを構成している。電池100において正極端子33Pのみに電流遮断装置が配置されている。電池100は、図1から4で示す構造を有する。電池200において負極端子33N側に電流遮断装置が配置されている。
図12は、実施の形態4に従った、電池を搭載した移動体の断面図である。図12を参照して、実施の形態4に従った構造では、電池200が傾斜して搭載面151に搭載されている。搭載面151の凹部152に外装体10を嵌合させることにより、電池200を傾斜させることができる。
Claims (2)
- 電池を搭載し、その電池を動力源にする移動体であって、
前記電池は、
電池要素と、
前記電池要素を収容する外装体と、
前記外装体の内部に封入された電解液と、
少なくとも一部が前記外装体の外部に設けられており、前記電池要素に電気的に接続された、正極端子および負極端子と、
前記外装体内に配置されており、前記正極端子および前記負極端子のいずれか一方のみに設けられ、前記正極端子および前記負極端子のいずれか一方と前記電池要素との間の通電経路を形成し、前記外装体内の圧力が上昇したときに前記通電経路を遮断する電流遮断装置とを備え、
前記電流遮断装置が設けられた前記正極端子および前記負極端子の一方は他方よりも鉛直上側に位置し、かつ、前記電解液の液面より前記電流遮断装置が鉛直上側に位置し、前記電解液の液面は前記正極端子および前記負極端子の他方よりも鉛直上側に位置するように、前記電池は前記移動体に搭載されており、
前記電池が直列に接続されて組電池を構成しており、前記移動体は前記組電池を搭載し、
前記組電池は、第一の前記電池および第二の前記電池を含み、
前記第一の電池の前記正極端子のみに前記電流遮断装置が設けられ、前記第二の電池の前記負極端子のみに前記電流遮断装置が設けられ、
前記第一の電池および前記第二の電池が交互に積層されて前記第一の電池の前記正極端子と前記第二の電池の前記負極端子との距離は前記第一の電池の前記正極端子と前記第二の電池の前記正極端子との距離よりも短く、さらに、
前記第一の電池の前記正極端子と前記第二の電池の前記負極端子とを接続するバスバーを備えた、電池を搭載した移動体。 - 前記第一の電池は角形であり、前記第一の電池の前記正極端子および前記負極端子は前記第一の電池の外表面の同一の第一の平面に設けられており、
前記第二の電池は角形であり、前記第二の電池の前記正極端子および前記負極端子は前記第二の電池の外表面の同一の第二の平面に設けられており、
前記第一の電池および前記第二の電池は同一の外形を有し、
前記組電池において、前記第一の平面と前記第二の平面とは同一平面となるように前記第一の電池および前記第二の電池が積層されている、請求項1に記載の電池を搭載した移動体。
