Description
Claims (13)
- 物品の誘電材料から、当該誘電体材料に取り付けられた金属細部要素を取り除く方法であって、
金属細部要素の少なくとも一部が浸漬するように電解液内に物品を配置する工程と、
前記金属細部要素の一部にマスキング層を塗布することによって、前記金属細部要素にマスク部と非マスク部とを形成して、前記非マスク部が前記電解液に曝露されるようにする工程と、
少なくとも1つの陰極を、前記金属細部要素から離間させて電解液内に位置させる工程と、
前記金属細部要素に電流を流す工程と、
前記金属細部要素への通電に応じて、前記誘電材料から金属細部要素の前記非マスク部を剥離する工程と、
前記金属細部要素の剥離中、前記金属細部要素から前記マスキング層を漸次的に取り除く工程と、を含む、方法。 - 金属細部要素が陽極接続部から電気的に分離された金属アイランド部になる可能性のある金属細部要素の未剥離部分を検出すべく、マスキング層の縁部を監視する工程と、
マスキングシーラントをマスキング層の縁部に沿って塗布することにより、前記マスキングシーラントが少なくとも部分的に前記未剥離部分に重なるようにする工程と、
前記マスキングシーラントの塗布の後に、前記金属細部要素に対する通電を再開する工程と、をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記誘電材料は、ガラス、セラミック、高分子材料の少なくとも1つによって構成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記高分子材料は、前記金属細部要素を担体に取り付ける接着剤である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記担体は、金属材料及び複合材料の少なくとも1つによって形成されている、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料は、繊維強化ポリマーマトリックス材料によって構成されている、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記金属細部要素は、少なくとも50.8μm(0.002インチ)の厚みを有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記物品の担体に、前記担体が電解液に接触しないようにマスキング層を塗布する工程をさらに含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの陰極は、前記物品の両側に配置された一対の陰極によって構成されている、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記電流は直流である、請求項1〜9のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記金属細部要素に電流を流す前記工程は、
前記電流の電圧を一定に保つことと、
前記金属細部要素を剥離する際は前記電流のアンペア数が変化するのを可能にすることと、を含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか1つに記載の方法。 - 前記陰極は前記金属細部要素と補完し合う形状である、請求項1〜11のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記誘電材料から前記金属細部要素が剥離されるまで、陽極接続部と金属細部要素の大部分との間の連続的な導通経路を維持することをさらに含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
