Description
(実施例1)
この実施例は、フォトクロミック二色性染料を含むULTRAMID B33L(ウルトラミッド)(登録商標)(BASF(バスフ)社から購入した「潤滑ポリアミド6」)とPEBAX(ペバックス)(登録商標))5533 SA 01(Arkema(アルケマ)社から購入したポリエーテルブロックアミド材料)の共押出膜の製造を記載している。共押出膜は以下のような構成であった:外層:コア層:外層=ULTRAMID B33L:PEBAX 5533 SA 01:ULTRAMID B33L。
84%の3−(4−(4−メトキシフェニル)ピペラジニルフェニル)−3−フェニル−6メトキシ−7−(4−(4’−(トランス−4−ペンチルシクロヘキシル)フェニル)ベンゾイロキシ))−13−エチル−13−メトキシ−3,13−ジヒドロ−インデノ[2’,3’:3,4]ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン、13%の2,2−ジフェニル−5,6−ビス(メトキシカルボニル)−8−[4−(4−(トランス−4−ペンチルシクロヘキシル)ベンズアミド)フェニル]−2H−ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン、3%の2,2−ジ(4−フルオロフェニル)−5−((1−(メトキシカルボノイル)メチロキシ)カルボニル)−6−メチル−8−[4−(4−(トランス−4−ペンチルシクロヘキシル)ベンゾキシカルボニル)フェニル]−2H−ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン。4%の染料をブレンドしたPEBAX 5533 SA 01は、COLLIN(コリン)(登録商標)型E16Tの単軸押出機を用いて押出された。押出機温度は以下の通りであった:ゾーン1=170℃、ゾーン2=180℃、ゾーン3=190℃。ULTRAMID B33Lは、第2のCOLLIN型E16T単軸押出機を用いて押出した:すべてのゾーンの温度が260℃であった。2台の押出機は、溶融ポリマーを、COLLIN TEACH−LINE(コリンティーチ−ライン)(登録商標)の共押出ブロックとダイへ、ダイ温度230℃で、同時に送った。得られた膜をCOLLIN型CR 72−Tカレンダへキャストした:温度は17℃であった。ポリマーフィード速度及びカレンダロール速度は、以下のおおよその膜厚比:ULTRAMID B33L:PEBAX 5533 SA 01:ULTRAMID B33L=20μm:200μm:20μmを維持するために、変化させた。次に、得られた膜は、COLLIN MDO−ATとMDO−BTの加熱されたロールスタンドを使用して延伸した。延伸温度は、アニーリング(焼鈍)温度130℃で70℃であった。延伸前ローラ速度はカレンダ速度と一致するように調整した。延伸後ローラ速度は、膜をアニール延伸倍率が元の長さの3倍(3X)、4倍(4X)、及び5倍(5X)になるように配向するために変化させた。
この実施例は、フォトクロミック二色性染料を含むEVATANE(エヴァタン)(登録商標)20−20(アルケマ社から購入したエチレンと酢酸ビニルとのランダム共重合体)とPEBAX(登録商標)5533 SA 01(アルケマ社から購入したポリエーテルブロックアミド材料)の共押出膜の製造を記載している。この共押出膜の構成は、外層:コア層:外層=EVATANE20−20:PEBAX5533 SA 01:EVATANE20−20であった。
この実施例は、着脱可能な外層を有するEVATANE20−20とPEBAX 5533 SA 01の共押出膜の製造について記載している。共押出膜の構成は、外層:コア層:外層=EVATANE 20−20:PEBAX5533 SA 01:EVATANE 20−20であった。
二色比試験方法
以下のように、「二色比試験方法」では、光学ベンチを使用して、実施例1及び2で製造したサンプルの各々について平均二色比(DR)を測定した。試験前、サンプルの各々を少なくとも7×4cmの切片にカットしアルミフレームクランプで保持した。狭持したサンプルを、スペクトロニクス社(Spectronics Corp.)製の4個のUVチューブBLE−7900Bのバンクから15cm離したところで活性化放射線に5分間露光した。その後、サンプルを、ゼネラルエレクトリック社(General Electric)製の4個のUVなしチューブのバンクから15cm離れたところに30分間置いた。最後に、暗所で少なくとも30分間保持した。その後、狭持したサンプルを、光学ベンチ上のバネ荷重ホルダに入れた。光学ベンチは、迷光がデータ収集プロセスを干渉しないようにデータ収集中に一時的に閉じたMelles Griot(メレスグリオ)04 IES 211の高速コンピュータ制御シャッタを搭載した、活性化光源であるOriel(オリエル)モデル66011 300W(ワット)のキセノン(Xenon)アークランプと、短波長放射線を除去したSchott(ショット)3mmKG−2帯域フィルタと、光強度減衰用のニュートラルデンシティフィルタ(中性フィルタ)と、サンプルの表面に対して入射角300°で位置決めされたビーム平行化集光レンズと、を備えていた。

Claims (20)
- フォトクロミック二色性膜を製造する方法であって、
(a)第1の熱可塑性ポリマーとフォトクロミック二色性化合物を含む第1の溶融熱可塑性組成物を形成するステップと、
(b)第2の熱可塑性ポリマーを含む第2の溶融熱可塑性組成物を形成するステップと、
(c)第3の熱可塑性ポリマーを含む第3の溶融熱可塑性組成物を形成するステップと、
(d)前記第1の溶融熱可塑性組成物、前記第2の溶融熱可塑性組成物、及び前記第3の溶融熱可塑性組成物を終端スロットを有するダイへ導入するステップと、
(e)前記終端スロットから溶融押出物を除去するステップであって、前記溶融押出物が、
(i)前記第1の溶融熱可塑性組成物を含む第1の溶融層と、
(ii)前記第2の溶融熱可塑性組成物を含む第2の溶融層と、
(iii)前記第3の溶融熱可塑性組成物を含む第3の溶融層と、
を含み、前記第1の溶融層を前記第2の溶融層と前記第3の溶融層の間に介在させるステップと、
(f)前記溶融押出物を冷却し、前記第1の溶融層から形成された第1の層と前記第2の溶融層から形成された第2の層と前記第3の溶融層から形成された第3の層とを含む多層膜を形成するステップであって、前記第1の層を前記第2の層と前記第3の層の間に介在させるステップと、
(g)前記第1の層から前記第2の層と前記第3の層を除去して、前記第1の層を保持するステップであって、前記第1の層が前記フォトクロミック二色性膜を形成するステップと、を含む方法。 - 前記第1の溶融熱可塑性組成物が終端部を有する第1の押出機において形成され、前記第2の溶融熱可塑性組成物が終端部を有する第2の押出機において形成され、及び前記第3の溶融熱可塑性組成物が終端部を有する第3の押出機において形成され、更に、前記第1の押出機の前記終端部、前記第2の押出機の前記終端部、及び前記第3の押出機の前記終端部が各々、前記ダイと流体連通している請求項1に記載の方法。
- 回収ロールへ前記多層膜を回収することにて巻取りロールを形成するステップと、
前記巻取りロールを任意に保存するステップと、
を更に含む方法であって、
前記回収ステップと前記任意の保存ステップが前記第1の層から前記第2の層と前記第3の層を除去する前に行われ、
前記第2の層が前記多層膜の第1の外面を形成し、前記第3の層が前記多層膜の第2の外面を形成し、前記第1の外面と前記第2の外面の少なくとも一つが微細溝を含み、
更に、
前記微細溝の大きさは、前記巻取りロール上にある前記多層膜のオーバーラップ層同士の間から気体を逃すように決定される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 一軸延伸及び二軸延伸から選択された延伸で多層膜を延伸するステップを更に含み、この延伸によって、前記第1の層から前記第2の層を分離させ、前記第1の層から前記第3の層を分離させ、これによって、前記第1の層から前記第2の層と前記第3の層が容易に除去される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融押出物が回転ロールと移動中の連続ベルトとの間をこれらに接触しながら通過するステップであって、前記回転ロールが第1の方向へ回転し、前記連続ベルトが第2の方向へ移動し、前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向が各々同じ相対方向に対応しているステップを更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融押出物が前記回転ロールと前記連続ベルトの間を接触しながら通過する際、前記連続ベルトが前記溶融押出物に実質的に均一な圧力を付与する請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールが外面を有し、前記連続ベルトが外面を有し、前記回転ロールの前記外面の一部と前記連続ベルトの前記外面の一部が互いに対向しており、前記溶融押出物が、互いに対向している前記回転ロールの前記外面の前記一部と前記連続ベルトの前記外面の前記一部の間をこれらに接触しながら通過する請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールの前記外面と前記連続ベルトの前記外面が各々独立に50μm以下の表面粗さ値(Ra)を有している請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記多層膜の外面が各々独立に50μm以下の表面粗さ値(Ra)を有している請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールの前記外面と前記連続ベルトの前記外面が各々独立に弾性ポリマー、金属、及びそれらの組み合わせによって形成される請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記弾性ポリマーがシリコーンゴム、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリプロピレン、及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールの前記外面と前記連続ベルトの前記外面が各々独立に金属によって形成される請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記金属がステンレス鋼である請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールの前記外面が前記連続ベルトの前記外面に対向する割合が10〜75%である請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記回転ロールが周速度で回転し、前記連続ベルトが線速度で移動し、前記回転ロールが回転する周速度と前記連続ベルトが移動する線速度は実質的に同等である請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の層、前記第2の層、及び前記第3の層が各々独立に、熱可塑性ポリウレタン、熱可塑性ポリカーボネート、熱可塑性ポリエステル、熱可塑性ポリオレフィン、熱可塑性(メタ)アクリレート、熱可塑性ポリアミド、熱可塑性ポリスルホン、熱可塑性ポリ(エーテル−アミド)ブロック共重合体、熱可塑性ポリ(エステル−エーテル)ブロック共重合体、熱可塑性ポリ(エーテル−ウレタン)ブロック共重合体、熱可塑性ポリ(エステル−ウレタン)ブロック共重合体、及び熱可塑性ポリ(エーテル−尿素)ブロック共重合体の少なくとも一つを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の層が熱可塑性ポリ(エーテル−アミド)ブロック共重合体を含み、前記第2の層が熱可塑性ポリ(エチレン−酢酸ビニル)共重合体を含み、前記第3の層が熱可塑性ポリ(エチレン−酢酸ビニル)共重合体を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記フォトクロミック二色性化合物は少なくとも一つのフォトクロミック部分を含み、前記フォトクロミック部分が各々独立に、インデノ縮合ナフトピラン、ナフト[1,2−b]ピラン、ナフト[2,1−b]ピラン、スピロフルオロエノ[1,2−b]ピラン、フェナントロピラン、キノリン系ピラン、フルオロアンテノピラン、スピロピラン、ベンゾオキサジン、ナフトキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ナフトオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)ピリドベンゾオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)フルオランテノオキサジン、スピロ(インドリン)キノオキサジン、フルギド、フルギミド、ジアリールエテン、ジアリールアルキルエテン、ジアリールアルケニルエテン、熱可逆性フォトクロミック化合物、非熱可逆性フォトクロミック化合物、及びこれらの混合物から選択される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の層、前記第2の層、及び前記第3の層の少なくとも一つが独立に、染料、整合促進剤、水平配向剤、運動増強添加剤、光開始剤、熱開始剤、重合禁止剤、溶媒、光安定剤、熱安定剤、離型剤、レオロジー調整剤、レベリング剤、フリーラジカルスカベンジャー、及び接着促進剤から選択される少なくとも一つの添加剤を更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の層、前記第2の層、及び前記第3の層の少なくとも一つが独立に、アゾメチン、インジゴイド、チオインジゴイド、メロシアニン、インダン、キノフタロン染料、ペリレン、フタロペリン、トリフェノジオキサジン、インドロキノキサリン、イミダゾトリアジン、テトラジン、アゾ及び(ポリ)アゾ染料、ベンゾキノン、ナフトキノン、アントラキノン及び(ポリ)アントラキノン、アントラピリミジノン、ヨウ素及びヨウ素酸塩から選択される少なくとも一つの二色性材料を更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
