Description
過去、特定のプロセス制御環境が、圧力トランスミッタを利用してプロセス流体の圧力を計測することを事実上不可能にした。特に、プロセス流体が315℃を超える高温にあり、外部環境が0℃未満の低温にある環境は、充填流体がその流動点未満に低下しないことを保証しながらも圧力トランスミッタが過熱しないように圧力トランスミッタを配置することを不可能にする。特に、そのような高いプロセス流体温度では、プロセス流体中の熱のせいで圧力トランスミッタが過熱するため、トランスミッタを導管に直に取り付けることは不可能である。しかし、リモートシールが使用されるならば、充填流体は、充填流体導管の周囲の環境の冷たさのせいでゲル化し始める。
Claims (10)
- ダイアフラムによって封止された空隙を含むシール本体であって、前記ダイアフラムの第一の側がプロセス流体に晒されるように、前記プロセス流体を含むプロセス要素に取り付けられるように構成されたシール本体;
前記空隙及び前記ダイアフラムの第二の側と流体連通している、充填流体を含む毛管;
毛管凹部と、第二のダイアフラムによって切り離された二つの空隙とを有するカップリングであって、前記毛管が前記毛管凹部を通って延び、前記カップリングに接続して、前記毛管中の前記充填流体が前記二つの空隙の一つ及び前記第二のダイアフラムと流体連通している、カップリング;及び
前記カップリングと接触することなく、前記毛管に沿って前記シール本体から前記カップリングの方向に連続的に延び、前記毛管凹部に入る熱伝導要素
を含む、プロセストランスミッタのためのリモートシールアセンブリ。 - 前記熱伝導要素が、前記シール本体に取り付けられ、前記シール本体から前記毛管に熱を伝達するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- 前記熱伝導要素が取り付け部品に溶接され、前記取り付け部品が前記シール本体に取り付けられている、請求項2に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- プロセストランスミッタが前記カップリングに取り付けられている、請求項1に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- 前記カップリングがさらに第二の毛管に接続されて、前記第二の毛管中の第二の充填流体が前記カップリングの前記二つの空隙の他方及び前記第二のダイアフラムと流体連通している、請求項1に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- 前記第二の毛管がさらにプロセストランスミッタに接続されている、請求項5に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- 前記充填流体が合金及び非水銀系液体金属の一つを含む、請求項1に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- ダイアフラムによって封止された空隙を含むシール本体であって、前記ダイアフラムの第一の側がプロセス流体に晒されるように、前記プロセス流体を含むプロセス要素に取り付けられるように構成されているシール本体;
前記空隙及び前記ダイアフラムの第二の側と流体連通している、充填流体を含む毛管;
第二のダイアフラムによって切り離された二つの空隙を有する、前記毛管に取り付けられたカップリングであって、前記毛管中の前記充填流体が前記二つの空隙の一つ及び前記第二のダイアフラムと流体連通している、カップリング;及び
前記カップリングと接触することなく、前記毛管に沿って前記シール本体から前記カップリングの方向に連続的に延びる熱伝導要素であって、前記毛管の一部分が前記熱伝導要素と前記カップリングとの間で露出し、前記カップリングの周囲の空気の温度が前記充填流体の流動点より低いとき前記毛管全体中の前記充填流体の温度が前記充填流体の流動点より高くとどまるように、前記毛管に熱を伝達するように構成されている熱伝導要素
を含む、プロセストランスミッタのためのリモートシールアセンブリ。 - 前記充填流体が合金及び非水銀系液体金属の一つを含む、請求項8に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
- プロセストランスミッタが前記カップリングに取り付けられている、請求項8に記載のリモートシールアセンブリ。
