Description
本出願は、2013年2月28日付で出願された「撮像目標領域の位置特定ならびに関連のシステムおよび装置(Localization of Imaging Target Regions and Associated Systems and Devices)」という名称の米国特許仮出願第61/770,448号に対して米国特許法第119条(e)に規定する優先権を主張するものであり、この米国特許仮出願は、その全体が、あらゆる目的において、本明細書に援用される。
本発明は、国立衛生研究所(National Institutes of Health)の国立画像生物医学・生物工学研究所(National Institute of Biomedical Imaging And Bioengineering)によって与えられた授与番号R43EB015232および国立科学財団(National Science Foundation)によって与えられた授与番号1214788のもとでの政府の支援において行われた。政府は、本発明において一定の権利を有する。

Claims (14)
- 手持ち式超音波撮像装置であって、
前記手持ち式超音波撮像装置は、超音波トランスデューサと、該超音波トランスデューサに動作可能に接続された処理装置とを有する超音波撮像ユニットを有し、
前記超音波撮像ユニットの前記処理装置は、前記超音波トランスデューサから超音波情報を受信して画像処理するように構成されているものであり、
前記手持ち式超音波撮像装置は、
第1の端部と第2の端部とを有するハウジングであって、前記超音波トランスデューサが該ハウジングの第1の端部に配置されるように前記超音波撮像ユニットを内部に収容するものである、前記ハウジングと、
前記ハウジングの前記第2の端部に回転自在に連結された表示装置であって、前記ハウジングの長手軸に対して直交する回転軸を中心として、前記ハウジングに対して30度〜180度まで回転自在なものであり、前記超音波撮像ユニットと動作可能に接続されているものである、前記表示装置と、
前記ハウジングの外側面において前記表示装置と前記超音波トランスデューサとの間に設けられた把持領域と、
前記ハウジングの前記第1の端部に着脱自在に連結されるマーキングユニットであって、撮像される目標または該目標の付近に挿入されるプローブの適切な配置位置を示すように構成されたプローブ配置用インジケータを有し、このマーキングユニットは、使用時に、前記プローブ配置用インジケータの中央部が前記ハウジングの前記長手軸および前記撮像される目標に向かって形成される撮像走査平面の中心線と交わるように前記ハウジングの前記第1の端部に連結されるものである、前記マーキングユニットと
を有する手持ち式超音波撮像装置。 - 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、使用時に、前記マーキングユニットは、前記超音波撮像ユニットと前記撮像される目標との間に配置されるものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記マーキングユニットは、前記ハウジングの前記第1の端部に気密状態に連結されるように構成されており、それにより、伝達媒体を使用することなく画像を生成することが可能となるものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記マーキングユニットの前記プローブ配置用インジケータは、前記撮像走査平面の中心に対応する目標表面位置を示すように構成されているものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項4記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記プローブ配置用インジケータは前記マーキングユニットを貫通する穴部を有するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記マーキングユニットは、該マーキングユニットを前記目標の周囲表面に付着させるように構成された接着材料を有するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記マーキングユニットの前記プローブ配置用インジケータは、前記撮像走査平面の中心に対応する部位を示すように構成された可動タブを有するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項7記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記可動タブは、前記撮像走査平面の中心に対応する部位に視認可能なくぼみを形成するように構成されているものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記ハウジングは細長い形状を有するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記超音波撮像ユニットの前記撮像走査平面は、前記ハウジングの長手軸に実質的に平行である手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記表示装置は、前記撮像ユニットの前記撮像走査平面に実質的に平行な第1の位置および前記撮像ユニットの前記撮像走査平面に実質的に垂直な第2の位置に位置合わせされるように回転するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項1記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、さらに、前記ハウジングに取り付けられるカバー本体部を有するものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項12記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記マーキングユニットは、前記カバー本体部に着脱自在に連結されるものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
- 請求項12記載の手持ち式超音波撮像装置において、前記カバー本体部は、前記ハウジングの前記第1の端部に気密状態に連結されるように構成されており、それにより、伝達媒体を使用することなく画像を生成することが可能となるものである手持ち式超音波撮像装置。
