Description
(1) 基材の表面に塗工液を転写するグラビアロールと、前記グラビアロールに塗工液を塗布するチャンバーを有する塗工ユニットと、を備え、前記グラビアロールは、グラビアロール周面に沿って螺旋状溝を有しており、前記グラビアロールに塗工液を塗布した後であって、かつ、前記グラビアロール上の塗工液を前記基材の表面に転写する前に、前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の一部を除去する除去装置を備え、前記除去装置は、前記基材に転写する前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の内、基材端部に転写される塗工液の一部を除去することを特徴とするグラビア塗工装置、
(2) 前記基材端部は、前記グラビアロールを所定方向に回転させた場合の前記グラビアロールの螺旋状溝の進行方向側であることを特徴とする(1)に記載のグラビア塗工装置、
(3) 前記除去装置は、前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の一部を除去するための流体を吹き出す流体吹き出し装置を備え、前記流体吹き出し装置から吹き出される前記流体の吹き出し方向は、グラビアロール幅の中央からグラビアロール幅の端方向であることを特徴とする(1)または(2)に記載のグラビア塗工装置、
(4) 前記流体吹き出し装置から吹き出される前記流体は、気体であることを特徴とする(3)に記載のグラビア塗工装置、
が提供される。
前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の最小厚みが前記範囲にあると、基材にグラビアロールの塗工液を転写した際に、基材の片方の端部の塗工層が盛り上がることを抑制することができる。
Claims (3)
- 基材の表面に塗工液を転写するグラビアロールと、前記グラビアロールに塗工液を塗布するチャンバーを有する塗工ユニットと、を備え、
前記グラビアロールは、グラビアロール周面に沿って螺旋状溝を有しており、
前記グラビアロールに塗工液を塗布した後であって、かつ、前記グラビアロール上の塗工液を前記基材の表面に転写する前に、前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の一部を除去する除去装置を備え、
前記除去装置は、前記基材に転写する前記グラビアロール上の塗工液の内、基材端部に転写される塗工液の一部を除去するための流体を吹き出す流体吹き出し装置を備え、
前記流体吹き出し装置から吹き出される前記流体の吹き出し方向は、グラビアロール幅の中央からグラビアロール幅の端方向であることを特徴とするグラビア塗工装置。 - 前記基材端部は、前記グラビアロールを所定方向に回転させた場合の前記グラビアロールの螺旋状溝の進行方向側であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のグラビア塗工装置。
- 前記流体吹き出し装置から吹き出される前記流体は、気体であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のグラビア塗工装置。
