Description
The present invention relates to a flexible printed wiring board capable of realizing good electrical characteristics and miniaturization, and a method for manufacturing the flexible printed wiring board.
Various types of flexible printed wiring boards having wiring circuits formed by patterning wirings are arranged inside electronic devices such as mobile phones and computer hard disk devices.
Among such flexible printed wiring boards, there is a flexible printed wiring board that includes an antenna circuit and is disposed inside an electronic device such as a mobile phone.
When such a flexible printed wiring board is disposed in an electronic device such as a cellular phone, for example, when the casing of the electronic device is formed of metal, the flexible printed wiring board including the antenna circuit is made of metal. It will be arranged in the vicinity.
However, when there is a metal in the vicinity of the antenna circuit, loss occurs due to the generation of eddy current on the surface of the conductor (wiring circuit) during transmission and reception.
Therefore, in order to prevent such loss, the conventional flexible printed wiring board provided with the antenna circuit has a magnetic sheet containing a magnetic material attached to the front and back surfaces of the flexible printed wiring board. It is common to be disposed in
More specifically, an antenna device is formed by integrating a flexible printed wiring board including an antenna circuit and a magnetic sheet formed by forming a magnetic material into a sheet shape, and the antenna circuit and metal (housing) In general, an antenna device is disposed inside a casing so that a magnetic sheet is interposed between the two.
As a prior art showing such a flexible printed wiring board, for example, there is
In a flexible printed wiring board provided with an antenna circuit as shown in the above-mentioned
In recent years, mobile phones having an IC tag function for performing wireless communication using electromagnetic waves centered on the 13.56 MHz band have been put into practical use. In the field of electronic devices such as cellular phones, electronic devices are becoming increasingly smaller and thinner, and the realization of miniaturization of flexible printed wiring boards is an important development issue.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a flexible printed wiring board and a method for manufacturing the flexible printed wiring board that can solve the above-described conventional problems and can simultaneously realize good electrical characteristics and downsizing.
The flexible printed wiring board of the present invention is a flexible printed wiring board comprising at least a magnetic layer containing a magnetic material and a plurality of wirings provided on the front and back of the magnetic layer, wherein the magnetic layer The plurality of wirings provided on the front and back surfaces of the magnetic material layer are electrically connected so as to wind the magnetic layer in a coil shape. According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, the method for producing a flexible printed wiring board includes: two laminated plates each having a conductive layer on one side of a base material layer made of an insulating resin; A laminate bonding step for bonding the magnetic material layer containing the magnetic material to the front and back, and a through hole forming step for forming a through hole in the two laminated plates bonded to the front and back of the magnetic layer; A plating layer forming step of forming a plating layer on the inner periphery of the through hole and the surface of the two laminated plates, and etching the predetermined regions of the conductive layer and the plated layer, thereby forming the two laminated plates. With reference to the following drawings, a flexible printed wiring board according to an embodiment of the present invention and a method for manufacturing the flexible printed wiring board will be described to provide an understanding of the present invention. However, the following description is an embodiment of the present invention, and does not limit the contents described in the claims.
First, with reference to FIGS. 1-3, the flexible printed
A flexible printed
As shown in FIG. 2B, the flexible printed
As shown in FIG. 2B, the
The base material layer 11a serves as a base of the first wiring board 11 (flexible printed wiring board 10), and is formed of an insulating resin film.
As a resin film, what consists of a resin material excellent in the softness | flexibility is used. For example, any film may be used as long as it is normally used as a resin film for forming a substrate of a flexible printed wiring board, such as a polyimide film or a polyester film.
In particular, those having high heat resistance in addition to flexibility are desirable. For example, polyamide resin films, polyimide resin films such as polyimide and polyamideimide, and polyethylene naphthalate can be preferably used.
Further, as the heat resistant resin, any resin may be used as long as it is normally used as a heat resistant resin for forming a flexible printed wiring board, such as a polyimide resin or an epoxy resin.
The thickness of the base material layer 11a is desirably about 8 μm to 50 μm, more preferably 12.5 μm to 25 μm. This is because if it is less than 8 μm, insulation cannot be maintained, and if it exceeds 50 μm, flexibility is lost.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2A, a coiled wiring circuit forming region K, which is a region for forming a coiled wiring circuit K1 described later, is formed in a square shape. In a region facing each of the four sides of the
Although not shown, wiring and electrode terminals that are electrically connected to the electronic component (not shown) are also formed in the electronic component mounting region D, which is a region where various electronic components are mounted.
2A is a diagram in which the insulating layer 11c and the insulating layer 12c are omitted for convenience of explanation. Moreover, it is a figure which shows the wiring 12b and the
The wiring 11b, the electrode terminal (not shown) and the like can be formed by a known forming method such as laminating a conductive metal foil on the base material layer 11a by plating (so-called additive method).
In the present embodiment, copper (Cu) is used as the conductive metal foil. Of course, it is not restricted to copper (Cu), What can be normally used as conductive metal foil which forms the wiring of a flexible printed wiring board, etc. can be used.
The thickness of the wiring 11b is desirably about 8 μm to 70 μm, more preferably 18 μm to 40 μm. If the thickness is less than 8 μm, the current capacity cannot be secured, and if it exceeds 70 μm, the flexibility is lost.
The insulating layer 11c is a layer for ensuring insulation of the first wiring board 11 (flexible printed wiring board 10).
Although not shown in detail in the present embodiment, the insulating layer 11c is formed of an insulating resin film with an insulating adhesive.
As the insulating adhesive, any epoxy adhesive may be used as long as it is usually used as an insulating adhesive for forming an insulating layer of a flexible printed wiring board.
As the insulating resin film, any film may be used as long as it is normally used as an insulating resin film for forming an insulating layer of a flexible printed wiring board, such as a polyimide film. Further, the configuration is not necessarily limited to the configuration using the insulating resin film, and the configuration may be any configuration as long as it is normally used for forming the insulating layer of the flexible printed wiring board.

Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2A, the six wirings 12b are arranged in parallel so that the end portions of the adjacent wirings 12b in the plan view are overlaid by the wirings 11b described above.

The flexible printed

Next, with reference to FIGS. 4-6, the manufacturing method of the flexible printed

Next, with reference to FIG. 8, FIG. 9, the manufacturing method of the flexible printed

Next, with reference to FIGS. 11 and 12, a method for manufacturing the flexible printed

Next, with reference to FIG. 17, FIG. 18, the manufacturing method of the flexible printed

Therefore, the same member and the same function as those of the flexible printed
First, referring to FIG. 20A, in the first modification, the insulating

With such a configuration, the insulating layer 56b can more effectively dam the molten adhesive flowing away from the

With such a configuration, the
In addition, like the flexible printed
In the present embodiment, the flexible printed wiring board is configured as a flexible printed wiring board that forms an antenna device, but is not necessarily limited to such a configuration, and a flexible printed wiring board that forms another device. It is good.
The electronic device incorporating the flexible printed wiring board is not limited to the mobile phone, and can be changed as appropriate. For example, it can be used for RFID systems such as PDAs, small PCs, other electronic devices, IC cards, and tags.
Further, the shape and number of the magnetic layer and the shape and number of the coiled wiring circuit K1 (wiring 11b, wiring 12b) are not limited to those of the present embodiment, and can be changed as appropriate. For example, the magnetic material layer may have a square shape, a circular shape, a triangular shape, or a spiral shape (a so-called loop shape shown in FIG. 21A), or a plurality of magnetic material layers may be arranged on concentric circles shown in FIG. It is good also as a structure which arranges. Particularly, by adopting a configuration in which a plurality of magnetic layers are arranged in a spiral shape or concentric circles, the vortex loss of the magnetic layers can be reduced, and the inductance and the Q value can be effectively improved. Therefore, a highly efficient antenna device can be obtained. Further, the magnetic layer is not necessarily limited to a closed shape, and may be configured to have a partially opened shape. For example, a C shape shown in FIG. 22A or an E shape shown in FIG. However, it is desirable that the magnetic layer has a closed shape.
Moreover, it is good also as a structure which contains a thermal radiation filler in an adhesive bond layer. By setting it as such a structure, it can be set as a flexible printed wiring board and antenna apparatus with favorable heat dissipation.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a flexible printed wiring board capable of realizing good electrical characteristics and miniaturization at the same time. Therefore, the industrial applicability in the field of electronic devices incorporating the flexible printed wiring board is high.
