Description
米国特許第4728154号明細書に開示されているクリップオン式バランスウェイトは、質量体と、ホイールのリムにバランスウェイトを保持するためのクリップとを備えた金属製本体部を有する。
本発明によって解決すべき課題は、バランスウェイトと、バランスウェイト用の取付装置とを改良して、リムへの取り付け中にバランスウェイトの取り扱いを容易することである。さらに、バランスウェイトがあらかじめ設定された位置に正確に取り付けることができれば好都合である。別の目的は、取付装置によるバランスウェイトの取り扱いのコストを低減し、改善されたバランスウェイトの取り扱い方法を提供することである。
以下では、発明の一般的な概念を制限することなく、図面を参照し、複数の実施例に基づいて本発明を例示的に説明する。
Claims (10)
- 磁力によってバランスウェイトを保持するための強磁性体インレイ(95)と、非強磁性材料のバランスウェイト本体部(92)とを有するバランスウェイトにおいて、
前記強磁性体インレイ(95)は、前記バランスウェイト本体部の少なくとも1つの面に少なくとも1つの接触面(94)を有し、
前記強磁性体インレイは、円筒形ロッドである、
ことを特徴とするバランスウェイト。 - 前記強磁性体インレイ(95)は、前記バランスウェイト本体部の1つの面に1つの接触面(94)を有する、
請求項1に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記強磁性体インレイ(95)は、前記バランスウェイト本体部の装着面に対して平行である、
請求項1または2に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記バランスウェイト本体部は、前記バランスウェイトの質量の大きい方の部分を有し、前記強磁性体インレイは、前記バランスウェイトの質量の小さい方の部分を有する、
請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記バランスウェイトは、当該バランスウェイトをリムに装着するための金属クリップを有しており、
前記強磁性体インレイは、前記クリップから離隔されて配置されている、
請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記強磁性体インレイは、前記バランスウェイトの前記本体部における切欠き部内に保持されている、
請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記強磁性体インレイは、前記バランスウェイト内に埋め込まれている、
請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 前記切欠き部は、プラスチック、エポキシまたは染料のようなシーリング材料によってシーリングされている、
請求項6に記載のバランスウェイト。 - 請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載のバランスウェイトを取り扱う方法において、
バランスウェイトの近傍に取付ヘッドを移動するステップと、
磁力によって前記バランスウェイトを前記取付ヘッドに保持するステップと、
前記バランスウェイトと共に前記取付ヘッドをリムに移動するステップと、
前記取付ヘッドから前記バランスウェイトを取り外すステップと、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - さらに、
前記取付ヘッドをバランスウェイトの近傍に移動した後、前記取付ヘッド内の電磁石を使用可能にするステップと、
前記バランスウェイトを前記リムに移動した後、前記取付ヘッド内の電磁石を使用不可にするステップとが含まれる、
