Description
患者コネクタ52は一般に円筒形であり、図7に従って示すように、患者光ファイバの近端部の挿入のための円錐入口開口71を下端に有する。入口は、略円錐状であるので、患者光ファイバ端は、入口開口に容易に挿入可能である。
下記は、本願当初に記載されていた発明である。
<請求項1>
例えば、創傷又は血管アクセス等、モニタ位置での血液の漏出に対して、皮膚表面をモニタするための装置であって、
患者ユニット(12)、接続ユニット(14)及びモニタユニット(16)を有し、
前記患者ユニットは、前記モニタ位置に隣接して前記皮膚表面に取り付けられた接着剤層(24)を含むパッチ(21)を有し、これにより、前記皮膚表面から前記パッチを取り外すために所定の取り外し力が必要となるように、前記皮膚に前記パッチを接着するための前記接着剤が配置され、
前記患者ユニットは、前記パッチに配置される露出した遠端部(33)及び前記接続ユニットへの接続のための近端部を有する患者光ファイバを更に有し、
前記接続ユニットは、接続光ファイバを有し、その遠端部は、その一端から他端へと通過する開口を有するコネクタ装置を有し、それにより、前記接続光ファイバは、前記開口の一端に配置され、前記患者光ファイバは、前記患者光ファイバの前記近端部が前記接続光ファイバの前記遠端部と接触し、これに一致させて配置されるように、前記開口の反対側に挿入可能であり、
前記コネクタ装置は、前記患者光ファイバの引き抜きを防止するために、所定の引き抜き力が前記患者光ファイバに作用されるまで、力を前記患者光ファイバにその側面で作用させるための装置を有し、前記所定の引き抜き力は前記取り外し力より小さく、例えば、30N未満又は25N未満である、装置。
<請求項2>
前記装置により作用された前記力は、前記コネクタ内に前記患者光ファイバを正常に保持するために十分に大きく、それにより、20Nより大きい等、10Nより大きい引き抜き力が、前記患者光ファイバの引き抜きのために必要となる、請求項1に記載の装置。

その被覆を含む前記光ファイバが実質的に直角で切断されるように、前記患者光ファイバの前記近端部が形成され、前記光ファイバの前記近端部は、例えば切断操作の間に研磨される、請求項1に記載の装置。

Claims (14)
- モニタ位置での血液の漏出に対して、皮膚表面をモニタするための装置であって、
患者ユニット(12)、接続ユニット(14)及びモニタユニット(16)を有し、
前記患者ユニットは、前記モニタ位置に隣接して前記皮膚表面に取り付けられた接着剤層(24)を含むパッチ(21)を有し、これにより、前記皮膚表面から前記パッチを取り外すために所定の取り外し力が必要となるように、前記皮膚に前記パッチを接着するための前記接着剤が配置され、
前記患者ユニットは、前記パッチに配置される露出した遠端部(33)及び前記接続ユニットへの接続のための近端部を有する患者光ファイバを更に有し、
前記接続ユニットは、接続光ファイバを有し、その遠端部は、その一端から他端へと通過する開口を有するコネクタ装置を有し、それにより、前記接続光ファイバは、前記開口の一端に配置され、前記患者光ファイバは、前記患者光ファイバの前記近端部が前記接続光ファイバの前記遠端部と接触し、これに一致させて配置されるように、前記開口の反対側に挿入可能であり、
前記コネクタ装置は、前記患者光ファイバの引き抜きを防止するために、所定の引き抜き力が前記患者光ファイバに作用されるまで、力を前記患者光ファイバにその側面で作用させるための装置を有し、前記所定の引き抜き力は前記取り外し力より小さいことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記装置により作用された前記力は、前記コネクタ内に前記患者光ファイバを正常に保持するために十分に大きく、それにより、10Nより大きい引き抜き力が前記患者光ファイバの引き抜きのために必要となる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- その被覆を含む前記光ファイバが実質的に直角で切断されるように、前記患者光ファイバの前記近端部が形成され、前記光ファイバの前記近端部が研磨される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記患者光ファイバの前記遠端部は、前記患者光ファイバの前記遠端部が空気で囲まれるときに、前記光ファイバに沿って通過する光を全内部反射により反射し返すように配置される、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記患者光ファイバの前記遠端部は、円錐又は円錐台形又は半球形である、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記コネクタは、前記患者光ファイバの前記近端部を受容する円筒開口を有し、前記円筒開口は、前記患者光ファイバの外径と等しいか又はこれよりもわずかにより大きい径を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記円筒開口への入口を通常は覆うように、径方向ばね部材(73)が配置され、前記ばね部材は、前記ばね部材によるばね作用に対して前記円筒形の前記開口に一致し、それにより、前記患者光ファイバの進入を可能にするように移動し得る穴部(75)を更に有し、解放されたときに、前記穴部(75)の側面は、前記患者光ファイバに力を作用させる、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記径方向ばね部材に対して径方向の反対に延在し、前記径方向ばね部材(73)による前記力の反対方向の力を前記患者光ファイバに作用されるように、前記円筒開口内に配置された第2のばね部材(83)を更に有する、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記患者光ファイバと前記接続光ファイバとの間の接続点と、前記コネクタの側面との間に配置される側穴部(85)を、前記接続点の目視検査のために、更に備える、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記接続ユニット(14)は、前記モニタユニット(106)に一体化される、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記接続ユニット(14)は、前記モニタユニット(16)に電線(107、109)で接続される一体化光ユニット(108)を有する、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記所定の引き抜き力が、30N未満である、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記所定の引き抜き力が、25N未満である、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 20Nより大きい引き抜き力が、前記患者光ファイバの引き抜きのために必要である、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の装置。
