Description
Claims (12)
- 弾丸が衝突する前面及びその反対側の後面を有する防弾素材であって、
前記前面側に位置した複数の第1繊維層(fibrous layers)と、
第2繊維層とを含み、
前記第1繊維層は、それぞれ、11g/denier以上の強度(tenacity)及び200g/denier以上の引張弾性率(tensile modulus)を有する高強度繊維のネットワーク(network of high−strength fibers)を含み、
前記第2繊維層は、炭素繊維のネットワーク(network of carbon fibers)を含み、
前記炭素繊維のネットワークは、炭素紡績糸(carbon spun yarn)を経糸及び緯糸として含む織物であり、
前記炭素繊維のネットワークは、フェノール樹脂及びポリビニルブチラール樹脂を含む組成物でコーティングされており、
前記組成物は、20〜70重量%のフェノール樹脂、20〜70重量%のポリビニルブチラール樹脂、及び1〜10重量%の可塑剤を含む、
ことを特徴とする、防弾素材。 - 前記高強度繊維のネットワークは、アラミド繊維を経糸及び緯糸として含む織物(aramid woven fabric)であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の防弾素材。
- 前記高強度繊維のネットワークは、フルオロカーボン、架橋剤及び硬度−強化樹脂(hardness−enhancing resin)を含む撥水剤でコーティングされており、
前記架橋剤はイソシアネート系化合物であり、
前記硬度−強化樹脂はポリビニルアセテートであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の防弾素材。 - 前記高強度繊維のネットワークは、一方向に配列された多数の超高分子量ポリエチレン繊維を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の防弾素材。
- 前記高強度繊維のネットワークは、ポリウレタン樹脂を含む組成物でコーティングされていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の防弾素材。
- 前記第2繊維層は、前記後面に配置されたことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の防弾素材。
- 前記後面に位置した第3繊維層をさらに含み、

前記第4繊維層はアラミド織物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の防弾素材。 - 前記高強度繊維のネットワークはアラミド織物であり、
前記第1及び第4繊維層の前記アラミド織物は、フルオロカーボン、架橋剤及び硬度−強化樹脂を含む撥水剤でコーティングされており、前記架橋剤はイソシアネート系化合物であり、前記硬度−強化樹脂はポリビニルアセテートであり、
前記第3繊維層の前記炭素繊維のネットワークは、フェノール樹脂及びポリビニルブチラール樹脂を含む組成物でコーティングされていることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の防弾素材。 - 前記第1繊維層と前記第2繊維層との間に位置した第3及び第4繊維層をさらに含み、
前記第1繊維層の前記高強度繊維のネットワークはアラミド織物であり、
前記第3及び第4繊維層は、一方向に配列された多数の超高分子量ポリエチレン繊維を含み、互いに交差接合されたことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の防弾素材。 - 前記アラミド織物は、フルオロカーボン、架橋剤及び硬度−強化樹脂を含む撥水剤でコーティングされており、前記架橋剤はイソシアネート系化合物であり、前記硬度−強化樹脂はポリビニルアセテートであり、
前記超高分子量ポリエチレン繊維は、ポリウレタン樹脂を含む組成物でコーティングされていることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の防弾素材。
