Description
840デニールヤーン(引張り係数Ef=140Gpa)の平織り構造を有し、166g/m2(4.9oz/sqy)の公称面重量を有するポリアラミド布帛層のパックを、コンピュータを用いてシミュレートした。表1に、臨界穿孔速度V50および背面変形値BFD(対応のV50で測定)の、層の合計数および6〜10N/cm内の繊維引抜力(Fpull)に対する計算された依存性を示す。モデル予測は、対角に沿った強固な樹脂の細いストライプで処理された層についてのV50およびBFDについてである。
布帛全面積を実質的に同じく18%覆うようにするため、さらに離して(約20mmの距離)配置された、より幅広の対角ストライプ(約4mm)以外は、布帛のモデリングは実施例1と同じであった。
以下の例は、樹脂がない以外は、実施例1に記載した布帛の22枚の層のパックについてのコンピュータモデルにより予想される防弾性能を示すものである。Fpullの値は、未処理の840デニールの平織りアラミド布帛について実験的に測定されたものに特有である。実施例1と同様に、BFD値は対応のV50で測定したものである。
これは、ヤーン方向に沿ってストライプが延びている、すなわち、ストライプが、縦糸と横糸のように、互いに相互に垂直である以外は、実施例1と同様である。
この例は、布帛面積を同じく18%覆ったダイヤモンド形パッチへと適用された樹脂の場合についてである。ダイヤモンドは、幅約12mmで、図2に示すようなサテンデザインで33mm離して(中心から中心まで)配置されている。ダイヤモンド形パッチは、サテンパターンであり、約11の交差部に等しい対角幅を有している。
本発明の主な特徴及び態様を挙げれば以下のとおりである。
1. 布帛層であって、ポリマーが一連の曲線、ストライプまたはこれらの組み合わせにおいて布帛層に配列され、かつ一連の曲線、ストライプまたはこれらの組み合わせ内で実質的に連続し、そして布帛層の20%以下を覆い、および布帛が6.5N/cm〜10N/cmの引抜力を有する、布帛層。
2. ポリアミド、芳香族ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリベンゾオキサゾール、ポリベンゾチアゾール、ポリ{2,6−ジイミダゾ[4,5−b4’,5’−e]ピリジニレン−1,4(2,5−ジヒドロキシ)フェニレン}、ポリアレーンアゾール、ポリピリダゾール、ポリピリドビスイミダゾールおよびこれらの混合物よりなる群から選択される材料を含んでなる上記1に記載の布帛層。
3. ポリマーがシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂および芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂よりなる群から選択される上記1に記載の布帛。
4. 布帛が織布である上記1に記載の布帛。
5. ポリマーが、一重織交差部の最長対角断面を実質的に覆うのに十分な幅である上記4に記載の布帛。
6. ポリマーが、布帛織り方の方向に沿った面内のいずれかの軸に対して余角で、実質的に平行なストライプにおいて配列されている上記5に記載の布帛。
7. 余角が30〜60度の範囲である上記6に記載の布帛。
8. 上記1〜7のいずれかに記載の布帛の10〜60層を含んでなる物品。
9. 防護衣類を含んでなる上記8に記載の物品。
10. 織布帛層を準備し、布帛層に、布帛織り方の方向に沿った面内のいずれかの軸に対して余角で、一連の実質的に平行なストライプにおいてポリマーを適用することを含んでなる、布帛層の処理方法。
Claims (2)
- 布帛層であって、ポリマーが一連の曲線、ストライプまたはこれらの組み合わせにおいて布帛層に配列され、かつ一連の曲線、ストライプまたはこれらの組み合わせ内で実質的に連続し、そして布帛層の表面の20%以下を覆い、および布帛層が6.5N/cm〜10N/cmの引抜力を有する、布帛層。
- 織布帛層を準備し、布帛層に、布帛織り方の方向に沿った面内のいずれかの軸に対して余角で、一連の実質的に平行なストライプにおいてポリマーを適用することを含んでなる、布帛層の処理方法。
