本発明に係る液式(ベント形)鉛蓄電池は、例えば、鉛を活物質の主成分とする負極板と、二酸化鉛を活物質の主成分とする正極板と、これら極板の間に介在する多孔性のセパレータとからなる極板群を備えたものであり、当該極板群が希硫酸を主成分とする流動可能な電解液に浸漬されてなるものである。
本発明で用いられるセパレータ1は、図1及び図2に示すように、上下方向に延伸した複数の縦リブ12がベース11となる薄膜に形成されたものである。

Claims (3)
- ペースト式の正極板とペースト式の負極板との間に、上下方向に延伸した複数の縦リブがベースとなる膜に形成されたセパレータが介在している液式鉛蓄電池であって、
前記セパレータのベース厚さT1(mm)と、前記セパレータを介して対向する正極板と負極板との極板間の距離T2(mm)と、前記縦リブ形成箇所における前記セパレータの総厚さT3(mm)と、前記縦リブの間隔W(mm)とが、下記式(1)及び式(2)で表される関係を満たし、
前記T2(mm)が、0.65〜0.95であることを特徴とする液式鉛蓄電池。

0.8≦T3/T2≦1.1・・・式(2) - 前記T2(mm)と前記T3(mm)とが、下記式(3)で表される関係を満たす請求項1記載の液式鉛蓄電池。
