Description
R3およびR5は、それぞれ独立に、C1〜C3−アルキルである]
の三置換されたベンゼンイソシアネートを、触媒および場合によっては溶媒の存在下で、40℃〜200℃の温度で二酸化炭素を脱離させることによってカルボジイミド化させることにより調製することができる。
Bayer MaterialScience AG製のDesmophen(登録商標)2001KSタイプのポリエステルポリオール中で、テトラメチルキシリレンジイソシアネートをベースとする液状のポリマー性のカルボジイミド(Stabaxol(登録商標)P200の名称で入手可能)およびモノマー性のカルボジイミド(ビス(2,6−ジイソプロピルフェニル)カルボジイミド)(Rhein Chemie Rheinau GmbHから、Stabaxol(登録商標)Iの名称で入手可能)を、本発明の次式:
の液状のモノマー性のカルボジイミド(CDI I)と比較、試験した。
最初に、空焼きをし(baked−out)、窒素充填した500mLのフランジ式容器に、窒素気流下に400gの2,4,6−トリイソプロピルフェニルイソシアネートを仕込み、140℃に加熱した。400mgの1−メチルホスホリンオキシドを添加してから、その反応混合物を、5時間以内に160℃まで加熱した。その後で、NCO含量が1%未満(95%を超える転化率に相当)に達するまで、160℃で反応を続けた。そのようにして得られた粗反応生成物を、蒸留の手段により精製した。得られた反応生成物は、淡黄色の液状物で、25℃で700mPasの粘度を有していた。
熱安定性を検討するために、Mettler ToledoからのTGA分析ユニット(TGA851)を用いて、熱重量分析を実施した。この目的のために、それぞれの場合において、10〜15mgのサンプルを、窒素下で、30℃から600℃まで、10℃/分の加熱速度で昇温させて分析した。5%の重量損失に達した温度(℃)を評価した[T(5%)]。
知られているように、液状のポリエステルポリオール中の立体障害のあるカルボジイミドに基づく加水分解安定剤の効果を、酸分解の手段によって試験することができる。
Claims (5)
- 前記R1〜R6基が分子内で同一であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記R1〜R6基がイソプロピルであることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記液状のカルボジイミドを、10〜35℃の温度で添加することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーが熱可塑性ポリウレタン(TPU)であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
