Description

i.水ガラス溶液を含浸した基材からブロック/シリンダー又はいくつかのその他の形状のハニカムマトリックスを調製するステップ;
(該基材はさまざまな無機若しくは有機物質又はそれらの組合せの混合物から作製される。該基材は繊維又はパルプであり得る。該無機繊維は、ガラス繊維、セラミックなどから選択され、好ましくは、約6〜約18ミクロンの繊維直径、約6〜約15mmの繊維長さ、及び約0.10〜約0.50mm、好ましくは0.15〜0.25mmの厚さを有するガラス繊維である。その繊維ガラスのバインダー含量は6〜20、好ましくは6〜10%の範囲であり、該プロセスで使用される基材の基本重量は20〜80gsm、より好ましくは20〜45gsmである。該繊維ガラス基材の気孔率は0.5インチの水において約350〜約500cfm/ft2の範囲、好ましくは0.5インチの水において約400cfm/ft2超である。)
ii.水ガラスを含浸したハニカム基材を、4〜25重量%の水性金属塩溶液若しくは酸溶液、又はそれらの組合せの中に、10〜80℃の温度でヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスが得られる時間まで浸漬するステップ;及び、
(該ブロック/シリンダー又はいくつかのその他の形状のハニカムマトリックスは塩溶液若しくは酸溶液、又はそれらの組合せの中に場合によって浸漬される。その上に、水ガラス溶液の濃度は、波型にする前に含浸された紙の適切な状態を得るために15から40%、好ましくは30%、より好ましくは25%に維持される。該水溶性ケイ酸塩は中性グレードのケイ酸ナトリウム及びケイ酸カリウムから好ましくは選択される。シングルフェーサーを次々に接着させるために、積み重ね又は巻き取りの前に、中性グレードのケイ酸ナトリウム等の接着剤を適用することが好ましいが、これを達成するためにいくつかの既知のステップ及び技術が存在する。)
iii.前記ヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスを熱的に活性化するステップ、
を含む。
・水ガラスを含浸したハニカム基材を、4〜25重量%の水性金属塩溶液若しくは酸溶液、又はそれらの組合せの中に、10〜80℃の温度でヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスが得られる時間まで浸漬するステップ、及び、
・マクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスを製造するために前記ヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスを熱的に活性化するステップ、
を含む。
Claims (20)
- マクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスであって、それは合成されたマクロ孔性乾燥剤を含み、前記乾燥剤が50%及び100%の相対湿度において少なくとも40%の示差水吸着、40〜200Åの範囲の孔径及び0.40〜0.80g/ccの細孔容積を有する、マクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 前記示唆水吸着が100%の相対湿度において60%より大きい、請求項1に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 前記乾燥剤がタイプII及びタイプIII等温線を示す、請求項1に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 基材を含む、請求項1に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 前記基材が無機、有機基材又はそれらの組合せである、請求項4に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 前記基材が繊維又はパルプである、請求項5に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックス。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスの「インシチュー」調製のためのプロセスであって、
i.水ガラスを含浸したハニカム基材を、4〜25重量%の水性金属塩溶液若しくは酸溶液、又はそれらの組合せの中に、10〜80℃の温度でヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスが得られる時間まで浸漬するステップ、及び、
ii.前記ヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスを熱的に活性化して、マクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスを製造する、ステップ、
を含む上記プロセス。 - 前記ヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスがステップ(i)を行った後で洗浄される、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記塩溶液が三価塩溶液である、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記三価塩が硫酸アルミニウムである、請求項9に記載のプロセス。
- 前記酸溶液が弱酸溶液である、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 弱酸がリン酸である、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ハニカムマトリックスが有機、無機基材又はそれらの組合せで構成されている、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記基材が繊維又はパルプである、請求項13に記載のプロセス。
- 水ガラスが中性グレードのケイ酸ナトリウム又はケイ酸カリウムから選択される、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 薬液用フィルターを得るために前記ヒドロゲルハニカムマトリックスが15〜120分間浸漬される、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 熱的活性化が60℃〜200℃、好ましくは140℃の温度で行われる、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 薬液用フィルターとして使用されるときの、薬液用フィルターとしての、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスの使用であって、前記ハニカムマトリックスは合成されたマクロ孔性乾燥剤を含み、前記ハニカムマトリックスは50及び100%の相対湿度において少なくとも40%の示差吸着(能)を有し、乾燥剤が40〜200Åの孔径及び0.4〜0.8g/ccの細孔容積を有することを特徴とする、
使用。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の、合成されたマクロ孔性乾燥剤を含むハニカムマトリックスを含む乾燥剤ホイール除湿機であって、乾燥剤は示差吸着(能)が50及び100%の相対湿度において少なくとも40%であり、乾燥剤が40〜200Åの孔径及び0.4〜0.8g/ccの細孔容積を有することを特徴とする、
乾燥剤ホイール除湿機。 - 請求項18に記載の薬液用フィルターとして使用されるときの、薬液用フィルターとしての、合成されたマクロ孔性乾燥剤ベースのハニカムマトリックスを含む乾燥剤ホイール除湿機。
