Description
図1は、本発明の導電性ローラの一例を示す長手方向断面図である。図示するように、本発明の導電性ローラ10は、シャフト1の外周に、弾性層2と表層4とが順次形成されてなるものであって、これら弾性層2と表層4との間に、乳化剤を含まない水系塗料を用いて形成されたブロック層3が設けられているものである。
<実施例1〜5,比較例1〜6>
図2に示すような、シャフト1の外周に弾性層2、中間層5、ブロック層3および表層4が順次形成された構成を有する導電性ローラを、下記表4中に示すようにブロック層の配合を変えて、作製した。シャフトとしては、直径6mmの円柱状金属からなるものを用いた。また、ブロック層の塗布後の乾燥温度は105℃とし、乾燥後の厚みはすべて150μmとした。
得られた各実施例および比較例の供試ローラを、40℃×95%RHの高温高湿環境下で11日間放置して、汚染性につき評価した。結果は、画像に不具合がなく、ローラ表面に汚染物質が確認されなかった場合を○、画像に不具合はないが、ローラ表面に汚染物質が確認された場合を△、画像に不具合がある場合を×とした。その結果を、下記の表中に併せて示す。
得られた各実施例および比較例の供試ローラのマイクロ硬度を、マイクロゴム硬度計MD−1型を用いて、測定した。帯電ローラの場合、ローラ表面のマイクロ硬度は、低いほど好ましく、70を超えると、ローラ表面が硬すぎて、画像不良の原因となるおそれがある。より好ましくは65以下、さらに好ましくは60以下である。その結果を、下記の表4中に併せて示す。

ブロック層の塗布後の乾燥温度を120℃とし、乾燥後の厚みを70μmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして、導電性ローラを作製したところ、ブロック性の評価結果は○、マイクロ硬度は59であった。
ブロック層の乾燥後の厚みを100μmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして、導電性ローラを作製したところ、ブロック性の評価結果は△、マイクロ硬度は61であった。
ブロック層の塗布後の乾燥温度を120℃とし、乾燥後の厚みを100μmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして、導電性ローラを作製したところ、ブロック性の評価結果は○、マイクロ硬度は63であった。

Claims (6)
- シャフトの外周に、弾性層と表層とが順次形成されてなる導電性ローラであって、
前記弾性層と表層との間に、乳化剤を含まない水系塗料を用いて形成されたブロック層が設けられており、該弾性層がウレタンエマルジョンを含む塗料を用いて形成されていることを特徴とする導電性ローラ。 - 前記弾性層の形成用の塗料が、ウレタンエマルジョンを含む発泡塗料である請求項1記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記弾性層の形成用の塗料が、ラウリルトリメチルアンモニウム、ステアリルメチルアンモニウム、ステアリン酸アンモニウム、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウムおよびジメチルポリシロキサンポリオキシアルキレン共重合体からなる群から選択される1つ以上を含有する請求項1または2記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記水系塗料が、水系ウレタン樹脂である請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記ブロック層の厚みが、50〜150μmの範囲である請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項記載の導電性ローラ。
- 帯電ローラである請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一項記載の導電性ローラ。
