Description
を備えるため、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体によって部材の隙間を確実に充填することができる。
Rで示される1価の炭化水素基としては、例えば、脂肪族基、脂環族基、芳香脂肪族基、芳香族基などの炭化水素基などが挙げられる。
(1) EPDM発泡体の製造
表1に示す配合処方に記載の配合量において、EPDM、充填材、軟化剤、難燃剤および老化防止剤を配合し、3L加圧ニーダーにて混練し、一次混和物を得た。
EPDM:EPT8030M、長鎖分岐含有、ジエン(5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン)含量9.5質量%、触媒:メタロセン触媒、三井化学社製
カーボンブラック:旭#50、平均粒子径80μm、旭カーボン社製
重質炭酸カルシウム:丸尾カルシウム社製

(2)物性測定
実施例1〜10、比較例3および4のEPDM発泡体の各物性を、下記に示す方法で測定した。それらの結果を表2に示す。
EPDM発泡体の80%圧縮荷重値CL1をJIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、EPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、圧縮試験機を用いて、圧縮速度10mm/分で80%圧縮してから10秒後の80%圧縮荷重値CL1を測定した。
EPDM発泡体の見掛け密度BD1をJIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、EPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、質量を測定して、単位体積あたりの質量(見掛け密度BD1)を算出した。
EPDM発泡体の伸び率E1および抗張力(破断伸び)HT1をJIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、EPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、ダンベル1号を用いて、試験片を打ち抜き、測定用サンプルとした。引張り試験機にて、引張り速度500mm/minの速さで測定用サンプルを引張り、測定用サンプルがダンベル形状平行部で切断したときの伸び率(破断伸び)E1および荷重(抗張力)HT1を測定した。
デジタルマイクロスコープ(VH−8000、キーエンス社製)により、EPDM発泡体における気泡部の拡大画像を取り込み、画像解析ソフト(Win ROOF、三谷商事社製)を用いて画像解析することにより、EPDM発泡体の平均セル径CS(μm)を求めた。
図2は、吸音性の評価方法を説明する概略断面図である。
EPDM発泡体を、150℃で10日間加熱し、その加熱前後における各変化率R、すなわち、80%圧縮荷重値の変化率RCL、見掛け密度の変化率RBD、伸び率の変化率RE、抗張力の変化率RHTおよび平均セル径の変化率RCSをそれぞれ求めることによって、EPDM発泡体の耐熱性を評価した。
EPDM発泡体0.5gを、100mLの密閉管に入れ、密閉管の底面と蓋の内側面とに、研磨および洗浄した銀をそれぞれ貼り付け、85℃の恒温槽に148時間投入し、密閉管の底面(裏面)、および、蓋の内側面(密閉管の底面に対向する面)における腐食の有無を確認した。腐食が確認されなかったものを「無」、腐食が確認されたものを「有」と評価した。
EPDM発泡体を適当な大きさに切断し、4枚重ねにして蛍光X線測定(XRF)を実施した。XRFの装置および条件を下記する。

- エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴムおよび架橋剤を含有するゴム組成物を発泡させることにより得られ、
前記架橋剤は、硫黄S 8 を含有せず、チウラム化合物およびキノイド化合物を含有し、
150℃で10日間加熱後の80%圧縮荷重値CL2の、加熱前の80%圧縮荷重値CL1に対する変化率が、−50%以上、50%以下であり、
前記加熱前の80%圧縮荷重値CL1が、0.5N/cm2以上、10N/cm2以下であることを特徴とする、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。 - 蛍光X線測定により算出される硫黄含量が、0.7質量%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。
- 前記加熱前の見掛け密度が、0.50g/cm3以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。

- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体と、
前記エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体の片面または両面に設けられる粘着層と
を備えることを特徴とする、シール材。
