前記管体内に、該管体の長さ方向に沿って延びるように収容された、通電されることによりジュール熱で発熱する長尺の発熱線とを有してなり、
前記管体の内面と前記発熱線との間に前記空気が介在されており、
前記管体を構成する材料の融点または軟化点は、前記発熱線への通電による該発熱線の最高発熱温度より低いものである。
(イ)発熱線を収容している管体を溶かしたり、軟化させてしまうことなく、外部に十分な量の熱を放出し、融雪等を十分良好に行うことができる、
(ロ)管体を構成するポリマーとして融点または軟化点の低い材料を使用でき、装置の製造コストを安価とすることができる、
等の優れた効果を得られるものである。

Claims (6)
- ポリマーからなる管体と、
前記管体内に収容された空気と、
前記管体内に、該管体の長さ方向に沿って延びるように収容された、通電されることによりジュール熱で発熱する長尺の発熱線とを有してなり、
前記管体の内面と前記発熱線との間に前記空気が介在されており、
前記管体を構成する材料の融点または軟化点は、前記発熱線への通電による該発熱線の最高発熱温度より低い電気加熱装置。 - 前記空気は前記管体内に実質的に密封されている請求項1記載の電気加熱装置。
- 前記管体は可撓性を有している請求項1または2記載の電気加熱装置。
- 前記発熱線を被覆しており、電気絶縁性を有するとともに前記発熱線への通電による該発熱線の最高発熱温度より高い融点または軟化点を有する被覆材をさらに有する請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の電気加熱装置。
- 前記発熱線は横断面細長い矩形状とされている請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の電気加熱装置。
- 前記発熱線はニクロム線からなる請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の電気加熱装置
