Description
亜鉛リシン二ヨウ化物(構造I)の合成
リシン(4.24g、0.029モル)を、水(200mL)に溶解した。この溶液に、ZnI2(9.26g、0.29モル)を添加した。この混合物を撹拌し、100℃まで35分間加熱した。この溶液を、室温まで冷却し、得られた溶液をロータリーエバポレーションにより乾燥したところ、オフホワイトの固形物が生成した。この物質を、亜鉛の含有量及びヨウ素の含有量について分析した。亜鉛は12.8パーセントであり、ヨウ素は50.5パーセントであった。
(亜鉛ヒドロキシ-メチルチオ酪酸ヨウ化物)(構造III、M=Z、Rがメチオニン由来)
ヒドロキシルメチルチオ酪酸(88%溶液)(35.7g、0.21モル)を水350mLに溶解した。この混合物にZnI2(67g、0.21モル)を添加した。この混合物を撹拌し、10NのNaOHを滴下で添加してpHをpH=3に調整した。混合物を100℃で1.5時間加熱した。得られた混合物を冷却し、次いでロータリーエバポレーションによって乾燥して、固形物とした。この固形物を分析したところ、亜鉛11.9%及びヨウ素30%であった。

グリシン(28.6g、0.381モル)を水150mLに溶解した。この混合物にZnI2(121.6g、0.381モル)を添加し、溶液全体を撹拌し、100℃まで45分間加熱した。混合物を室温まで冷却し、溶媒をロータリーエバポレーションによって除去した。固形物を、亜鉛及びヨウ素について分析する。乾燥した生成物を分析すると、亜鉛14.3%及びヨウ素40%である。
(鉄リシン二ヨウ化物の合成)
リシン(4.76g、0.0326モル)を水(100mL)に溶解した。この溶液に、FeI2(10.1g、0.0326モル)を添加した。この混合物を撹拌し、100℃まで35分間加熱した。この溶液を、室温まで冷却し、得られた溶液をロータリーエバポレーションによって乾燥したところ、褐色の固形物が生成した。この物質を、鉄の含有量及びヨウ素の含有量について分析した。鉄は11.7%であり、ヨウ素は53.4%であった。
(マンガンリシン二ヨウ化物の合成)
リシン(4.7g、0.0323モル)を水(100mL)に溶解した。この溶液に、MnI2(10.1g、0.0323モル)を添加した。この混合物を撹拌し、100℃まで35分間加熱した。この溶液を、室温まで冷却し、生成した溶液をロータリーエバポレーションによって乾燥したところ、オフホワイトの固形物が生成した。この物質を、亜鉛の含有量及びヨウ素の含有量について分析した。マンガンは11.6%であり、ヨウ素は52.1%であった。
この実施例は、強化された血清ヨウ素レベルを例示するものであり、従来のヨウ素源に対する優位性を実証している:
EDDI=二ヨウ素水素酸エチレンジアミン
CaIO3=ヨウ素酸カルシウム。
別の有効性試験において、体重1200lbから1700lbの間の非泌乳の妊娠肉牛のアンガス・シンメンタール(Angus Simmental)を完全乱塊法による研究用に選定し、新規のヨウ素化合物の血清ヨウ素濃度についての効果をEDDI及びCaIO3と比較して測定した。ウシを、試験開始7日前に体重によりブロック化した。

- 補給物が非毒性の担体と共に添加される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 非毒性の担体が、糖、発酵可溶物、飼料穀物、トウモロコシ穂軸粉及び乳清から成る群から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
